Luxury hotel on the Danube promenade.

Comfortable, spacious room. Bathrooms with modern showers, reasonable size.
Excellent, heartful breakfast included.
Fresh produce and varied offering.
Aak for a room with a view to the Danube river.
The hotel is close to the railway and bus stations and in front of the NAVROM ferry that links Tulcea with the Danube Delta villages.

Avoid!!!

Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant surprise from a 4 star hotel, as esplanada claims. The check-in process was very fast and smooth thanks to Cristina and Ionela wich they were very kind and professional. The room is ok, is big with a large bathroom with cubical sower and the mini bar is full wich was nice. But the restaurant? Oh my God! I had to wait 30 min to get a menu and order a latte. When it finally arrived, It was without sugar. Nicolas was very unprofessional and also rude when I asked for his name, so I can make a complaint. None of the staff have name tags, maybe so you can't complain. The breakfast was a disaster!!!!! Only one coffee machine for all the guests even though they knew they have a full coach of tourists. I would not recomand this hotel.

Indiscussable

Hotel offers everything you could wish for, BUT: The “restaurant” is indiscussable. Half of the food and drink menu is not available. White wine comes unchilled. Coolers and ice cream must be ordered separately.
If you want a drink and don't have high standards - okay. Otherwise, avoid this place.

Absolutely horrible except for Ileana at the front desk.

An absolute dump. Don't bother. It's beyond disgusting and dirty. The ONLY good thing about this hotel is the blonde woman Ileana at the front desk who was so incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. Otherwise, this place is rated 4 stars and it should be closed because it's horrible.
We had arrived late and just wanted to sit outside and eat, and were told we could take a particular table because "that's where the owner likes to sit". Seriously? You have customers staying at your hotel and that's your attitude? The room: 1 towel per person, 1 pillow per person, a sheet on only one bed, one crappy wire hanger in the closet... crumbs on the carpet... disgusting.

Good location

Esplanada is a good hotel ,but not quite a 4 star hotel.
Very good location, nearby the train and bus station, with good view over Danube, clean and large room, free parking, good breakfast.
BUT the jacuzzi and sauna aren't in use, noisy air conditioning.
