Great location. Value for money
Good location to stay for a cuple of days if visiting Vlacea. It has basic amenities but sufficient for short stay. They also serve breakfast. The location is nice on top of the hill and close to city centre.

They almost crushed my wedding
So, this happened:
I had my wedding on 12th of May 2018.
In May 2017 I talked to them, including the manager, to book the whole hotel.
I sent an email, as requested and got their confirmation, but they said the final price offer will be in 2018.
Later, in February 2018, I went to the hotel to confirm and offered to pay an advance, but they said it is still too early to talk about the price, as it may depend on wether we will need room heating or not. They told me to relax and we'll talk later about these "details".
But then, when I contacted them 3 weeks before the event, the manager told me that somehow they had rented the hotel to someone else for the same night.
And "puff"...there you go...left short of 66 accommodations just ahead of the wedding.
You can imagine the trauma to solve the problems.
I also do mention that I would have occupied the while hotel on the 12th of may and another 10 rooms at least for more than just that night and I also didn't ask for a great discount as I was willing to pay up to 120 RON for a double room, considering full hotel reservation(the desk tariff is 130 RON/room).
I also heard that I was not the only one to have had these kind of problems there.

I am sorry to tell you that your story is not entirely true. You first came on May 2017, then in May 2018, just before the weeding, and not on February 2018, otherwise you would have a full signed contract as we do with all our customers (with a payment in advance). As a matter a fact, you came with 2 days before the weeding to solve the problem...
We told you to "relax and discuss the details later" on May 2017(when you came first time), when we didn't know the tariffs , but on 2018 you cannot come with 2 days before the weeding (not with 3 weeks as you said)... You discussed with me one time in May 2017, when it was too early and we didn't know the tariffs for the next year, and with 2 days before the weeding, when it was too late. Just to understand the importance of a 66 persons accommodation for us, we always sign a contract, specially when is with a discount ! we always ask the client for a room listing! we always ask the client with one week before if the number of the rooms is final...just to compare,I am sure you have been at the restaurant many times , for reservation, tasting de meniu, payments etc...our hotel is 5 min far away, you should give us a call or visit us...

very good
Great location, on the top of a hill, not that easy to get to, but the view makes it worth. Rooms are nice and comfortable, although not that big. Very clean and helpful staff.
Cons: wi-fe working poorly and breakfast.

Good place for short stay
Clean room with bathroom, no wi-fi in room, only common areas, breakfast included in price was very good (fried eggs, bread, cheese, jams, cereals, good coffee)

Terrible experience!
It is an old comunist hotel but this was not the main problem. The staf is very unprofessional. We had a booking 6 months before and When we arrived there they sayd that the booking "was made to much time ago " and they had a diffrent staff wich didn't registred the booking.
Eventual the price was diffrent and again they said that changed the prices în the last 6 months so I have to pay the New price not the one that they sent me by email When I booked the rooms.

Sorry for the bad experience, between March 2014 and December 2016 the hotel was rented to another firm. Now adays it back to the owner and made a lot of modernisation. Wait to see you back,for a better experience. Best regards,
