Located in Porto historic centre, the SUPERNOVA Hostel is a 1-minute walk from the central Trindade Metro Station. This renovated and charming hostel has a bar, as well as high-speed free Wi-Fi access.

Clean hostel and no bedbugs
I decided to stay here because I only had a short ticket in Porto to take another flight. Choose because it is 5 minutes from the station trindade (you take the metro from the airport here and costs only on average 2 euros). After reading various complaints in almost all hotels and hostels in Porto about bedbeds, this was the only one who had no complaints about it and in fact the bed was very clean and the cleanliness in the room very good, room super smelly and well taken care of.
I stayed in the bed option pod/cabine that contains curtains... you must choose the correct option at the time of your booking. I didn't have towels and I didn't ask about renting because I brought mine. Hot water in the shower and tap, heater and fan in the room. The entrance to the hostel is only with key card or code which makes it even safer. Bring earrings as in every hostel is the ideal, here there are a few birds that stay singing the night and it seems baby scream did not wake me, but to fall asleep was more noticeable the sound.
The location is very good, in addition to the subway super nearby, has the famous street santa catarina and several restaurants, cheap markets nearby, recommend you go to my Auchan or gold ping for better prices, they sell ready food which makes our life easier and makes us save. Do not miss visiting the Primor store to buy beauty and care products with great prices.
The service was very sympathetic from the beginning to the end. Very nice to find friendly Portuguese! If you have any problems during your stay just let them know right there as they tried to help you. Julio was there and was super friendly.
One thing I've seen that they do with everyone is that they accompany you to your bed on your arrival, that's really very caring and important
There is a cafeteria inside the hostel that you can also buy things there too.
I used the hotel wifi to work and make video calls and worked perfectly, has a space with tables and sockets for you to work with your laptop, has ambient music but did not bother me.
- Tips to make the place even more amazing:
> Having at least 1 pot of liquid soap for body in the bath area, I know that some locals avoid because people still steal (which is sad) but maybe leave one that is simple and cheap, just to help the travelers who are just passing and no longer have soap and will not buy because the liquid would be blocked at the airport.
> 1 microwave to heat food from the supermarket, I think even more useful than the fridge, because the markets with the cold are very close and you can quickly walk there and buy fresh
> English plaques asking guests to remain silent after 10pm, I stayed in the ground floor room and it was possible to hear a little of the people at some times, fortunately I brought earbuds, and there was a boy in the room using iPhone and was not in silent.
>Have garbage baskets for recyclable in shared environment

Staff lady very helpful so please disregard the negative review I gave on the first day as everything got resolved and will stay there again.

Staff helped me after my passport and cell phone was stolen on the metro in Porto. Embassy closed today and Rayanaire would no let me on the plane so came back to Hostel and they printed out my bus ticket to Madrid. They even got me an Uber to go to the police station to report the theft.
