Great choice for digital nomads
I normally travel solo as a remote worker. This place is a top pick for people similar to me. Blazing fast internet tested at 288 down 37 up. A generator for when power goes out. Cleaning available in the afternoon in you work nights, a table and chairs inside the room. The room is pretty quiet by Filipino standards as the hotel sits off the road a bit.
The room itself is spacious. New tvs have cable channels and all the apps you could want.
Good heater in the shower and good water pressure.
The bed is foam, which isn’t my preference, but the queen size has plenty of room.
The air con works great, and there is also a ceiling fan.
The staff are kind and engaging. Shout out to Jade for a number of positive interactions I’ve had with her during my stay.

On the other hand, the towels and bedsheets felt quite worn and rugged. While the air conditioning did work, I was unable to adjust the temperature to my preference. Lastly, although there was a TV in the room, it had a "coming soon" message displayed and was not operational during my stay.

Beware of the owner!
Backstory: there was a power outage in the island and their generator was broken. I found out through a local friend that this was an announced power outage a week or days prior, but they did not inform the guests, nor made sure their generator is working.
My room was very hot and it was impossible to rest or get some sleep. I went to the reception to get some help and updates, and the staff rang the owner and asked me to talk to him.
The owner told me he can't help me, can't do anything and DROPPED the phone call while I was talking to him. Yes, mid-conversation.
You see, my problem here is the owner and how he dealt with my concern.
Think twice before booking this place!

Wow... we're happy you survived :-)
You know... communication is always a two-way affair. If you're constantly bothering our technical manager with your calls while he's out and about, on the phone, organizing a technician and spare parts on Sunday, then you shouldn't be surprised! He already explain you the current situation. No need to call him again and again every 10min.
Unfortunately, after 2.5 years and 200 hours of operation, our generator finally developed a defect. The electric starter broke that morning when it tried to start. Unfortunately, this can happen, even though the system undergoes a test run three times a month.
We don't understand how you can't understand that we can't supply power to your room in this situation when we have a power outage from the provider here.
We're talking about a three-hour power outage in the morning between 5 and 8 a.m. Other guests used the time wisely, instead of getting upset about something they can't change, and went out for breakfast and thus enjoyed their vacation.
You stayed with us for two nights, and those three hours of power outages prompted you to give us only one star rating. Thank you for that!
I think the people who want to book with us and read your review will be able to classify and rate it accordingly.
btw:
There are still many guesthouses here in the Alona Beach area that don't have any generators at all, or only provide a small system that can't power hot water and air conditioning during operation. We specifically purchased a large system for about half a million pesos about three years ago, which can power our entire house without any limitations. Unfortunately, even this can break down sometimes.
Thank you for your review. This allowed us to explain our generator situation to prospective guests, as a system like ours is far from the standard here in Panglao for our 2-star guesthouse category!
It's the best option for you, to check in to the hospital emergency room next time you're here on Bohol. They most likely have uninterrupted power ;-)
