We had a great stay here, the rooms were clean and tidy. The staff were very nice, overall good facilities and also the location was great. The restaurant was amazing aswell with great food…

BEWARE! Bed Bugs!
BEWARE! The hotel and my room had bed bugs. I complained to the owners after the first night and at first they did not respond. I then complained to Agoda and they finally sent house cleaning staff to clean the bed sheets and sweep the floors. This is not a solution for bed bugs. The room needed to be sterilized and/or changed. My body was covered in bites. I complained again and they showed up without any notice/confirmation to my room when I was getting out of the shower. They knocked on the door and looked through the window. This is an invasion of my privacy and left me not feeling safe. I eventually had to check out early and they refused to provide a refund after I asked. Instead they blamed me and said I was a difficult customer. Their messages to me were unprofessional and rude. I would avoid this hotel due to the lack of cleanliness and the level of customer service.

DISHONESTY AND GREED
Copy of the message sent to Agoda and Chekesh Casa explaining why.
.../... I informed you on March 21 that my flight with Cebu Pacific from Cebu to Dumaguete was cancelled for the second time in 1 week, first from March 20 to 21, then from March 21 to 25, causing major problems in my journey timing and accommodation bookings.
Then I was not able to get to Siquijor before March 26 but I needed to go back to Dumaguete on the 28 to fly back to Cebu before flying back to Europe next day.
So I had to cancel my journey to Siquijor and contacted every Guest House in Dumaguete and Siquijor to explain my problem and the reasons why I couldn't come and cancel all my bookings, before contacting Booking and Agoda providing them proof of flight cancellation.
Very simple to understand.
ALL Hotels and Guest Houses understood and AGREE with Booking and Agoda to cancel my bookings to refund me...
ALL EXCEPT CHEKESH CASA.
Why ?
May be just because :
1) You don't care that a guest cannot come because airline cancelling flights 2 times in 1 week without any valid flight alternative and I do not trust Cebu Pacific Airline seriousness anymore.
2) You don't understand that if my return flight is also cancelled, I also loose my flight ticket back to Europe
3) Your GREED FOR MONEY is more important than service and basic HONESTY needed in tourism business.
You could have agreed with Agoda to refund me at least half of my money booking as a compensation BUT YOU DID NOT.
Shame on you.
I'll make sure to communicate by all means about your dishonest behaviour and share the bad publicity you deserve.

Friendship Goals
Guys I would recommend this Chekesh casa if you wish to stay in a low budget while touring the Siquijor island. It’s a good accommodation where you can relax. The place is so peaceful and quiet. The owner is well accommodating. The food is delicious. Trust me at the rate of P1500/room/night is really worth it.

Great place feeling like at home
I enjoyed my stay at Chekesh Casa, the lovely cottage surrounded by wonderful garden with plenty of plants. It felt like being in your own little house.
Where I was disappointed it was by the slowness of the service at the restaurant even for the breakfast. The first day it took me 50 minutes between the time I ordered my breakfast and I finally got it on my table.
One other day, I asked some little extra jam for my breakfast, I was astonished to see that they invoice this little extra on the bill, their customer orientation need some improvement.
The wifi works very well and in the restaurant and in the cottages, great and not so common in the Philippines.
