No Beach, Unswimmable, Dilapidated Pool Deck, Excessive Noise
We stayed here for five nights in November.
Beach: Contrary to the hotel photos, while the property is technically beachfront, there is no usable beach. At regular and high tide, the water comes right up to a cement retaining wall. At low tide, the area is covered in sea grass. It is not swimmable and there is absolutely no space to lay a towel, set up beach chairs, or do anything typically associated with a beach vacation.
The sea grass was unpleasant, collecting garbage from the ocean and attracting flies. When I asked why it wasn’t being cleaned, I was told they were waiting for the municipality. However, the neighboring property had staff cleaning their beachfront daily, independent of the municipality. On one occasion, bar staff attempted to rake the grass but simply left it in piles for the tide to wash back in ♀️.
Pool: The pool appears far larger in photos due to wide-angle lenses. In reality, it is only slightly larger than a bathtub, and the water was murky. More concerning was the pool deck itself — rotten, with broken boards, and genuinely dangerous. This was not storm damage from a recent typhoon; it was clearly long-term neglect.
Lounge Area: Because there is no beach, lounge chairs are placed directly in front of the cabanas. While the placement is odd, the chairs themselves are fine. However, due to typhoon damage, there were not enough chairs for the number of guests. When I asked about this, I was told to use a beanbag (!). I tried — these are suitable for Instagram photos only and completely impractical for lounging or reading. Over our five-day stay, nothing was done to address this shortage.
Noise: There is a nightclub directly behind the property that plays loud live music until close to midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. It sounded as if the band was in our room. This was not the relaxing experience we had booked, and it resulted in two nights of very poor sleep. I absolutely wish we had been informed of this in advance.
Wi-Fi: Very poor — weak and intermittent. Streaming was impossible. Normally, I wouldn’t care about Wi-Fi on a beach vacation, but given the lack of usable beach or amenities, this became more noticeable.
Rooms: The rooms themselves were fine. Air conditioning worked, hot water was reliable, everything was clean, and there were no insects. Staff placed mosquito coils nightly. No complaints here.
Management: Due to the issues above, we wanted to leave early. Ferry closures due to weather delayed our departure, so we gave management 3 days’ notice of our intention to leave early and requested a refund or compensation for the final night. I was repeatedly told they needed approval from unavailable management. I followed up twice daily until our final night. As we were leaving for dinner that evening, I was casually informed they would offer “restaurant credit.” This did not come close to addressing a refund and, worse, was communicated only after we had already made dinner plans.
I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, it completely missed the mark. It’s extremely rare for me to want to leave an accommodation early — in fact, I don’t think it has ever happened before. This property is blatantly misrepresented, and management takes no responsibility for that.

Could have been better.
When it comes to value, I had expected much more for the price. We could have left so much more money there. Location isn’t the only thing

Totally disappointed!
booked this place for my son's birthday and requested a beach setup paid the total amount -- but nothing was prepared at all. No set up no effort and not even a simple apology from the staff. On top of that, they were rude and even charged us corkage for the birthday cake we bought. The food was way too salty, nothing special at all, and the staff weren't even nice or polite and the service was just terrible. They completely ruined my son's special day. This place is so overhyped and definitely not worth even single peso. Never again.
Excellent location
