Super friendly and clean

Fantastic little resort. The room was spotless, spacious and homely. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly. Excellent laundry service too! Ideal, central location close to the market and a 5 minute walk to the beach. I was in the AC room and it worked brilliantly. Would definitely recommend.

If you want to be scammed and treated rudely then here in the place for you!

I booked a private double room through hostel world for myself and my partner. When we arrived the lady at reception said I only put one person on the booking and therefore had to pay more for my partner. There was no evidence of this on my booking - it simply said I booked a double room.
I opened hostel world and asked the lady why if you put one or two people, the price does not change as I have booked a whole double room. She couldn’t and wouldn’t answer my question and started talking over me, addressing my partner instead of myself as if I wasn’t there. I have never been treated so poorly by customer service in my life.
Another man was there and I tried to ask him the same question to prove the price didn’t change as I have booked a whole room not two dorm beds, and he did the same thing - we later realised he was her husband.
We were forced to pay extra even though we showed the policies on both hostel world and booking.com that when you book a double private room, you pay for the room and that’s the price - the rest of our stay was awkward and uncomfortable.
I have since tried to leave a review on hostel world where we booked it, and it’s the only hostel on there I can’t review - I wonder if they have disabled it.
I would absolutely not recommend this place, they are rude scammers. I have never been treated so poorly in a customer service transaction in my life.

Overbooking after payment for walk-in guests

I’m writing this review as a warning for other travelers as walk-in guests.
My first stay here was booked via a platform and went fine.
However, during a later stay booked directly as a walk-in, I had a serious issue.
I stayed one night, and the next morning asked to extend for two more nights. The extension was agreed verbally, and payment was accepted.
Later that same evening, I received a WhatsApp message saying I would have to check out the next day due to overbooking.
This is not acceptable. Once payment is taken and a stay is confirmed, overbooking is the hotel’s responsibility, not the guest’s. Particularly on a small island where accommodation options are limited.
I didn’t argue at the time and left quietly, as there was no written confirmation.
Only after returning to the mainland did I decide to leave this review.
If you plan to stay here as a walk-in, be aware that your booking may not be respected after payment.

MONEY STOLEN FROM THE ROOM SAFE – TRIP COMPLETELY RUINED

A shocking and extremely serious experience. During my stay at this guesthouse, 600 euros were stolen directly from the safe inside my room.
What makes this even more disturbing is that the owners have both the code and the spare key to the safe. This means that someone with internal access was able to open it easily and take the money, without any forced entry.
I filed a police report, but of course it was useless in getting my money back. No real cooperation, no responsibility taken.
They completely ruined my trip, leaving me without money and without any protection.

Ideal acommodation

If you are travelling alone or with your partner and don’t fancy sharing bunk beds nor expending crazy amount of money in besch front resorts, this is the perfect price-value accommodation for you.
3 minutes walk from the main market with cheap tasty philippino food.
7 minutes away from the beach.
Away from the crazy parties and noises but close to everything at the same time. The family are really sweet and helpful. Wifi work as in the rest of the country (poor) but the rooms have plenty space and private bathroom. The beds are hard and comfortable, I think I had the very best sleep while in the Philippines.
100 Php/kilo laundry service.
100% recommendable
