Perfect!!

The area, is quite hidden, on the main street you have to go down a small alley but it is in the whole center and away from the noise, breakfast is exquisite! Things as they are! After trying other breakfasts at other hotels in the Philippines this was great, the bed comfortable and overall very good

Beautiful coron

Stayed at bay area lodge in june 2023 for a few days with family. They arranged our transport to hotel from airport so that went well without a hitch.
All the staff and i mean all, were very helpful and accomodating. Sorry i cant name you all but this is from the girls at the office, security, the cleaners and the kitchen staff. All of you were wonderful and thank you for making our stay in coron a beautiful experience.
Also the staff are very accomodating in helping us find the best arrangements for island hopping and see other sights.
We had our rooms on the ground floor. Rooms are clean and of course the airconditioning is godsend esp for me. Beds are comfortable and the room is spacious. Tables and chairs outside are a plus especially for us who smoke. The gardens outside the rooms are nicely kept and gorgeous.
Breakfast is included and they were very good. And it was very thoughtful of staff to send us on our way the last day with fruits for our early morning ferry trip to el nido.
The location is very central so you can walk around to shops and restaurants. Tricycles are very accessible from the front of the hotel to go wherever you want to go.
Again thank you all at bay area lodge for the wonderful experience

No “bay view” in this accommodation

“Super location ”
A nice place to stay for a few days in the centre of Coron town, very near the bars and restaurants. We have the family room with 2 double beds and very spacious and clean. ZERO room facilities to speak of. Missing the fridge, kettle, coffee , hairdryer, SAFE, cabinets. NOT EVEN a hand towel in the toilet when they have a big note saying to use the hand towel ;)) Cheap locks and the sliding window would not close. I did not worry as CORON HAS ZERO CRIME I’ve heard. Toilet flush was not functioning properly and was reported to front desk. Was Not repaired until HAZEL showed up and made sure all is fixed and clean before leaving our sight. She should manage this place. A real problem fixer. The outside area is well maintained with a great looking garden leading to nice restaurant called Gavin. Great staff and always except for the chef, GRUMPY LOKING DINO. Sitting where all guests see him but never saying hallo and looking angry. I’m happy that he does not work in the front office and in the evening behind the kitchen doors. does not greet the guests . How I wish I have pic to show mister grumpy’s face.
Ps
The “bay” name used to be the view but this is not any longer the case as the water is now 500 meters further due to a catastrophic & illegal reclamation done on the bay side.

Nice clean and comfortable hotel

Nice clean and comfortable hotel. The rooms are a little small but fine for one or two nights and well located within Coron Town. If you happen to be on the ground floor you’ll see quite a lot of people going back and forth as Gavin’s restaurant (see separate review) is part of the hotel. It’s not really a problem though. The garden’s are well cared for but being lots of plants, you’ll also see a few mosquitoes (again not a problem). The staff were all friendly and helpful and it was great having a restaurant on site.
