Lovely warm hostel

The room was lovely as was the bathroom amd hot shower. Good wifi. Kitchen facilities were sparse but that was ok for us. The staff were nice (no english) and used to pickups happening all through the night.

Lovely staff

We had a great stay at casa de isabel. After arriving at 6am they were kind enough to let us check into our room early which was amazing! They labled and looked after or bags in a locked safe room which we went on our canyon trek. Staff were very helpful, the hotel doesn't do laundry but they recommended where we should go. Room was clean and basic but I think good value. The only negatives were that the Wi-Fi doesn't work so well in some rooms and the windows are very thin so it can be noisy at night. Overall o would definitely recommend this place!

Great location and helpful staff.

The room has what you need: a bed, a TV e a bathroom. The bed is single, but confortable. It has a small table and a place to hang your clothes. The Wi-fi is good. The shower is...eh, but with enough patience you will get the hot water working out just fine. The staff is pretty helpful (one of them even managed to negotiate and lower the price of a taxi drive to the airport, and I didn't even ask him to do it!) and the location is really good. You are real close to the plaza de armas and most stuff worth seeing are over there or nearby. It is safe enough at night provided to be careful enough. The hostel doesn't offer breakfast, but there are many coffee shops near plaza de armas (as well as a starbucks if that tickles your fancy), so you are safe in that regard. You may have problems with noise from the other rooms: it is common that people wake up around 3AM to go to Colca Canyon and you can hear mostly everything from the nearby room (TV, alarm clocks, conversations etc). Close the curtains if the room next door is occupied, it will save you from embarrasing moments on occasion. But other than that it is a pretty good, well-located spot that will supply your needs with a very very very affordable price.

Great Staff and Convenient Location

Casa de Isabel was worth our stay! The price was extremely inexpensive. The rooms were clean, although not modern. They have a kitchen downstairs that you can use along with eating utensils, hot water for tea, a microwave to warm up food, or small fridge to store some leftovers.
The personnel was very friendly and understanding. While we were in Arequipa, we had a medical emergency, and as we were trying to figure out how to get back to the United States, they allowed us to leave our luggage there, check out late, called us a cab, and even offered to help us find doctors that spoke English, as we spoke very little Spanish.
I would recommend this location to anyone who is looking for a convenient location as they are only 2 block from the plaza de armas, on a budget, and want humble people who are running the hotel.

Friendly staff!!

A really clean and nice hotel. Unfortunately I got sick in Arequipa but they let me stay in room a bit longer since that night I had to catch a nightbus (nightmare). Would have loves to stay a night longer. In addition the staff was really friendly and helpful and brought me tea! I could recommend this place during your stay in arequipa!!
