Was recommended by frieds, and have since recommended to many others

Great value for money, owner and staff were great and friendly, allowed early check in, breakfast was ok, the restaurant next door also owned by same people was fantastic some great burgers. Price was great and there was wifi, chargers, decent lockers, and a hot shower! Thank you

Nothing great

Quiet location, decent beds, small toilet bathroom and small tiny breakfast. The girl was friendly though at the reception. The wifi is so so. It's a value for money for sure. They don't have any kitchen, not even a kettle to make tea. About 15 min walk from Plaza de Hermes

San Blas hostel - Okeysh

It was the cleanest hostel I have been in Peru, friendly staff while location is not the best. You need to walk all the way up to get there (quite steep) and if you come back late and want to avoid walking alone in the night, there is a different path where the taxis can reach very close to the hostel. They have really hot water all day long (during night time sometimes all water stops running). What I did not like was the fact that I paid for a bed in a 6 bed dorm and was expecting that the room's toilet would be used only by the guests in the room, which was not the case. As the door of the room is open all day long, everybody that stays in the living comes to use this toilet and even the receptionist encourages them to use it.

Watch out your belongings

Unfortunately I have to say that I had a bad experience at the hostel. I left my big backpack there when I went to Machu Picchu, which I was charged for, although I stayed several nights there before. When I came back to get it I noticed that my walking sticks which had been attached at the side of the backpack where not there anymore. I told this to the guys at the hostel but they did not really care much. Finally I had to fight to get at least a little money from them. Of course it was not their fault since they did not steal them but still if you offer a paid service for storing your belongings then I expect that nothing gets stolen. And the behavior of the staff was very unprofessional since I had to ask for some money and had some discussions to get at least a very little.
Luckily it was only the walking sticks but since it is obviously not save to leave your luggage there when you are on a trip I would not recommend to stay at this place.

One week in Cusco area

We stayed in Gringos Wasi for five nights. Hostel is really tidy, beds and toilets are clean. There was hot water available. Breakfast was good as well, and we got it earlier than it was supposed to be served in these days we needed to go somewhere before breakfast. Staff was really kind and Jimmy spoke good English. He organized to us tour to every Inka places which were worth to see. Guide in tour spoke good english and tour was pretty cheap. We also took our Machu Picchu trip via Hostel. Two days in hostel in Aquas Calientes and car ride there and back cost ~48 dollars per person. Location of hostel is good as well. Only 10 minutes walk to Placa de Armas. Good restaurants near of the hostel. Couple recommend this hostel warmly! We were really satisfied.
