Not only for surfing but walking to the seaside
Beautiful place located in front of the sea and extraordinary for those who love long walks to the seaside and better for those who like long surfing practice. In summer the atmosphere is exceptional and with beautiful sunsets. The hotel has very good facilities and the service in restaurants and bar are very good. You need to improve your customer support via phone and WhatsApp. Also in high season they must adjust their response times; there is slowness.

Horrible
We know the Radisson Blu brand from Africa, where it is synonymous with quality, excellent service, and high standards. That is exactly what we expected when we booked this hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was a major disappointment.
From the moment we arrived, things felt different. We were not offered a welcome drink, something we have always appreciated at Radisson Blu hotels in Africa. The receptionist also appeared stressed and rushed, leaving us with the feeling that we were just another check-in rather than valued guests.
The biggest surprise came when we entered our room. Everything felt rather cheap, with a lot of plastic finishes that lacked the premium feel we associate with the brand. The television was set almost entirely to Spanish-language channels, with only one English news channel available. There was also a spacious balcony, yet it had no chairs or table. It seemed like a missed opportunity to make use of what could have been a lovely space.
We also encountered a rather strange problem: our television would switch on by itself. We eventually discovered that whenever the guests next door turned on their TV, ours came on as well. This suggested poor soundproofing and electrical isolation between the rooms, which is not what one expects from a hotel carrying the Radisson Blu name.
The Wi-Fi was another frustration. It often took several minutes before the network even appeared on our devices, and once connected, the signal was unreliable. We reported the issue to the front desk, and a staff member came to our room. After barely a minute, he simply shrugged and said, “It is what it is.” That response was perhaps the most disappointing part of the entire stay.
Breakfast was adequate, but it lacked some basics we expected. The dining area was furnished almost entirely with plastic chairs, adding to the budget feel, and there was not even any marmalade available—something we would normally consider a standard breakfast item in an international hotel.
The beach also took us by surprise. At first glance, the black sand looks rather uninviting. However, once you spend some time there, it begins to grow on you and has its own unique beauty. The waves can be very powerful, making swimming difficult, which probably explains why we saw surfers but very few swimmers.
Overall, we were genuinely disappointed. This hotel simply did not live up to the standards we have come to expect from the Radisson Blu brand. We hope improvements are made, because the location has potential, but in its current state it falls well short of the quality associated with the name.

First weekend of the year 2026 - mixes reviews
The hotel is newly opened (I was told June 2025) and looks modern, with mini-apartment rooms: spacious, well equipped, amazing views of the beach or pool.
The beach is one of the best in the area: fine sand, manageable waves, palm trees and good cleaning. The music in the pool is very good, volume just right, undisturbed, lounge music nice or reggaeton (although they use Spotify with ads, what happened champions!). Amenities (infinity pools, common areas, beach chairs, cabins) are in order and are well maintained, except for one detail or another.
Now the negative: weekends get quite saturated. Check-in can take 45–60 minutes easy, and then another hour or more until you’re assigned a room (that’s exactly what happened to us). Visibly overstaffed: bartenders juggling orders but I stress that drinks go well; waitresses with the face of few friends for the number of tables; ice constantly runs out in the bar and on the machines, the power went out a couple of times, and more staff are needed sweeping, grooming and erecting tables just vacated.
There was a big wedding the weekend we had, which compounded everything. We were given late check-out for two hours without asking, which helped a bit.
A separate detail: because of the offers they sell online a varied audience arrives, some do not fully fit with the “medium-luxury” profile that the hotel intends, and it shows in the atmosphere. Go with a tolerant mindset to “different” people than you would expect.
Bottom line: nice facilities and top beach, but the operation is not adequate on weekends. If you go on weekdays, maybe it's something else; at the weekend, be prepared to wait.

Lovely experience all around
We just returned from a three-night stay over the New Years weekend at this location; 4 adults (couples), 2 kids (under 7), 4 seniors. We had a lovely time. The food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. We had 1 incident with no towels in a few rooms, but staff at the front desk were very helpful. I think they were short on some food options in preparation for New Years Eve, so Dinner had a limited menu. For us coming from America the prices were very affordable. Breakfast and Lunch were delicious. They had a swim up bar, and you could order and eat food. Beach was clean and gorgeous.
Only true downside is the road to drive out there to the resort. Its long and extremely bumpy. Thankfully they have a little food shop onsite where you can get basic groceries / booze / toys / etc.
The rooms were great and clean. The rooms we had all came with kitchens. Good A/C. Beds, sheets, and pillows were all clean and super comfortable.

The shower head leaked and I reported it right away. After multiple reminders it was never repaired during my 4 day stay. No wash clothes were offered either.
