The historic property is amazing. The sauna and pool was fabulous and the dinner was incredible. Highly recommend.

Nice quiet base for city visits in summer.

Of course the hotel is not prepared for a heatwave but the lack of air conditioning made the room in our wooden house very warm. Luckily there was a fan available. Although we were prepared for high prices for alcoholic beverages, the wine prices in the restaurant were exorbitant. More choice in the cheaper ranking is than recommended. Lady who arranges breakfast very gruff and in our opinion too rigid with the time: at 09.50 no longer want to give hot tea water because breakfast stops at ten? Lovely (quiet) pool, which then has to be paid for as well as for parking. Very friendly staff at reception, check-in and check-out went smoothly and efficiently. Beautiful area with metro station nearby with good connection to the city.

Only the superior room is really nice and has a view . Great breakfast I think this is the only big plus. Thus, some many negative impressions that could cancel the cosy feeling.of the building: you pay the parking a lot really a lot, almost like in a public parking No pool included in the room rate. Dinner choice very bad and expensive. The service poor you can not really relax and enjoy. I did not get the feeling that they appreciate when you choose their hotel. Very far, difficult to get in the night. Finally I use IA to find a free parking and metro to avoid paying the parking in the hotel . No guidance for tours or activities. At checkout nobody there during early hours and no breakfast option. During 5 days nobody came to empty the bin and I had to ask for a new towel , otherwise not provided. Take care of the bill I don’t understand Norwegian but I got the feeling that my bill was not correct. It’s a pity because the hotel is very nice but they need to fresh up the management.

The buffet in the restaurant was not up to the standard one expects from this hotel. They even run out of deserts. Hopefully they will up their game.

About 30 mins from Oslo centre is this charming historic hotel. The breakfast has to be one of the best I’ve had anywhere in Scandinavia, the only downside is travelling between Lysebu and Oslo central train station.
