Great staff, sauna and view

Brilliant hotel. Nice rooms, upgrade to harbour view room as view stunning. Parking in street around the corner.
Sauna - wow! Beautiful view and we had to ourselves each time we went in.
The staff are exceptional. Friendly and helpful. Our flight was cancelled and they couldn't have been better support. Great at offering options for activities.
Food excellent and plentiful!

Very pleasant stay

Very friendly welcome at the hotel, we arrived without a reservation and were offered a double room at a very fair price including half board; coffee and cake in the afternoon were also included. Parking is possible right around the corner on the street, free from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. in the morning. The hotel is ideally located for getting to the center on foot, a nice path along the water. Dinner and breakfast were both very generous buffets, we enjoyed it very much. The room is comfortable and well-equipped, with toiletries and an electric kettle for tea/coffee.

Absolutely not recommend to anyone

Waited for 3 hours for the chance to check in until 16:45, when I had to leave for a dinner appointment without the opportunity to take a shower after a long day.
Arrived back at the hotel at 21:00 only to be given a - according to the very polite receptionist, backup room directly facing the very noisy ventilation system. I can now enjoy the beautiful droning from the ventilator fans all night. I thoroughly enjoy the chance to see an external ventilation system in all its technological glory, so adding a picture of the view from my room.
Apart from the friendly and genuinely sympathetic receptionist, this is completely unacceptable, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Ideal location for overnight stop. Parking on nearby street if hotel car park full. Very helpful staff on reception. Clean room and public areas very neat and tidy. Standard of food is not great but adequate. Coeliac choices but limited - Evening meal (1 course) is included in room price, but coeliac choice was overcooked with watery veg. Dining room staff over zealous clearing away in a morning. Large tour groups use this hotel. Would visit again.

Fantastic stay – highly recommended!❤️

We had a lovely stay at Home Hotel Arcticus for five days in May, and we are left with only good memories.
The hotel has cosy rooms, a quiet and comfortable atmosphere, and a fantastic location with a short distance to everything. Playground for the children along the bridge, which made the trip along the bridge a cosy excursion with the children.
It was quiet and peaceful, making the stay extra relaxing.
The food was really a highlight! A big thank you to the kitchen staff who dish up with fantastic breakfast buffet every day, good dinner dishes in the buffet, delicious soup in the evening and nice fika with coffee and tea in the afternoon. We greatly appreciated this.
We would also like to thank for the excellent service and all the friendly staff, both in the reception, the kitchen and housekeeping, which contributed to the good atmosphere throughout the entire stay. The kids were loved, and we adults did too.
Thank you so much for some stress-free and nice days with you – we will be happy to come back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
