Disappointing experience, not worth the price
Here’s the paradox: the brochure inside the cabin asks for complete silence after 10 PM to "enjoy the calm of nature," but the only way to truly see the stars is to be outside… in silence and darkness, hoping not to disturb the neighbors. Moreover, no one welcomed us or explained anything upon arrival. For a place that presents itself as special and impactful, the organization was completely lacking.
The cabins are very close to each other, almost touching, and the overall atmosphere feels more like camping than an immersive nature retreat. There is no privacy at all, nor any attention to guests: everything is left to self-management, with no real care for those staying.
On a positive note, the restaurant’s cuisine is excellent: the dishes are truly good, thoughtfully prepared, and made with quality ingredients. Breakfast, delivered in a basket outside our door, was spectacular and abundant—a genuinely pleasant moment.
Unfortunately, the restaurant service was very poor: no welcome, poor communication, and no guidance on the menu, hours, or procedures. While other guests were given explanations and attention, we had the unpleasant feeling of being treated differently because we were not Dutch. Despite our efforts to speak their language, we had to ask for everything—from cutlery to dish descriptions.
If you’re looking for a day trip filled with good food and nature, I definitely recommend coming here just to eat, even without staying overnight.
But if you want a romantic getaway to watch the stars in privacy, sadly this isn’t the right place.
The prices are too high for what is offered. Such a pity—the potential is there, but the lack of attention, hospitality, and consistency with the promises makes all the difference.
