Amazing Picturesque Amsterdam !!!
I wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone for making our first trip to Amsterdam such a beautiful, warm, and truly memorable experience! My sister and I absolutely fell in love with your wonderful city. We had such a fantastic time exploring and enjoying the amazing food. Even though we unfortunately missed the Michelin guide Sinck restaurant recommended because it closed early, we are already looking forward to trying it next time! The Van Gogh Museum was absolutely wonderful, and the canal cruise you recommended was the perfect, relaxing way to see the sights—we honestly felt like we were in a picturesque movie! We are already excited to return for a much longer stay.
The entire team was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and we are just so grateful for your wonderful hospitality. Thank you for our VIP upgrade to the top floor! Our room was absolutely lovely, comfortable, and perfectly clean. We will happily and highly recommend your hotel to all of our family, friends, and colleagues visiting Amsterdam in the future. Thank you all so very much for everything!
Warmest regards,
Gail &

NO LONGER IN BUSINESS
We booked this hotel back in March and arrived after a long day of international travel, only to discover that the business is no longer operating. Not “our reservation was canceled.” Not “there was an issue with the booking.” The entire business is apparently no longer there.
And somehow, despite having our reservation for months, the hotel never contacted us. Not once.
Imagine traveling internationally, making plans and paying for accommodations months in advance, arriving exhausted at your destination, and only then finding out that the hotel you booked has effectively disappeared — with absolutely no warning or communication from the property.
This is not a minor inconvenience. This is an extraordinary failure of basic customer service. If you know you are no longer operating, the bare minimum is to contact every guest with an upcoming reservation and make sure they are not left stranded upon arrival.
We booked in good faith months ago. We planned our trip around this reservation. The fact that we had to discover the closure ourselves, in person, after traveling all day, is frankly unbelievable.
If you have a reservation here, do NOT assume it is valid simply because you never received a cancellation notice. Apparently, silence is their version of customer service.
I understand that businesses can close and circumstances can change. What I do not understand is how you can take reservations, have customers relying on those reservations, and then provide zero communication whatsoever when you cease operating.
Extremely disappointing, incredibly stressful, and completely unacceptable. The lack of communication is what makes this especially egregious.
If I could give zero stars, I would.

Daughters birthday weekend
Daughter’s birthday weekend.
Our stay at Hotel 717 was amazing. The location of the Hotel was fantastic. On arrival we had a few hours to check in time which was great as we could start our touring of the beautiful city of Amsterdam. We went to Lourens (bakery) the pastries were totally mind blowing. We popped over to buy some cookies from Van Stapele we opted for the 6 and had them put in the decorative tin which was so pretty. Rather than waiting in the long queues for the apple pie we went to Lottis for dinner which had the infamous winkle43 apple pie which was totally delicious and was slightly warm add on the ice cream I was in heaven. There is Photo Booth upstairs, the time we went for dinner was around 8pm and again no queues for the both the restaurant and Photo Booth (we did make a booking just in case though). At the Hotel 717 we were given complementary drinks on arrival, our room was very clean and the mini bar was fully stocked (you have to pay for whatever you drink). All the staff were very helpful, they left balloons, card and a present for my daughter’s birthday. There is a very pretty court yard to relax in, my only critism for the hotel would be the umbrellas, they do need a little clean and just a quick tidy up with the tall heaters and for the finishing touches just get rid of the leaves around the heater and put them somewhere if they are not in use or needed. Hotel 717 was in a prime location , 15 minute walk to Dam Square, 5-10minute walk to the museum, across the canal there is a beautiful restaurant called Eggs Benedict the breakfast we had was delicious. From the airport we took the 397 bus which stopped 5 mins away to the Hotel. There is so much to do near by. I will definitely stay here again.
Thank you to all the staff at Hotel 717 you were all absolutely fantastic, courteous, helpful and friendly.
