Our number one priority when booking was to have air conditioning in the room. That was also one of the main reasons why we chose to book a room at Clinkmama for our 2 nights stay. We arrived late and were really tired - hence why we didn't complain about the lack of air conditioning right away. The next day we had loads of things planned for the whole day, and also then we came back late so there was no staff in the reception. At the check-out we mentioned that there was no air-conditioning in the room, and the person working in the reception said that it should be, and if not there should be a fan. The person also was gonna go to our room and look it up. After we had waited for around 10 minutes, the same staff asks us what we are waiting for. We explain that we are waiting for them to look at the room to see that there is no air-conditioning. The staff then says that there is nothing they can do and that we at least had a window. I explain to the person that a window is not the same as air conditioning and the person applys with that they are gonna change the description on the website.
Other than that, the place has a nice atmosphere and a pretty cozy vibe. A bit pricey but would have been worth it with AC. The bad experience from the staff this morning dragged the rating down a lot.

The shower didn't work. I had to keep pressing the button, but still stopped after a minute. Not to mention no shampoo in the bottle. Do not book a private room. It's just a small space with thin walls in the middle of lobby.
I arrived at 1PM. Asked if early check in is available. She said that the early check in is from 2PM. The locker had 7 euros minimum charge. (They even charge for renting umbrellas). I spent an hour at the lobby and asked again. She said the room is still not ready because I didn't request in advance. Well, I gave an hour. Wasn't it enough? They only have few private rooms. Anyways, after waiting, for only an hour early check in, I paid 14 euros extra. The room was smelling a very strong detergent until night.
Maybe this place is acceptable for dormitory beds, but not for travelers who want privacy. And the location is little weird. Pay some more and find a hotel room. You will end up paying extra anyways.

Although I picked this room, I felt like I was sleeping in an orphanage for toddlers with pink everywhere, open bed concept, pink frilly things everywhere and pink nail polish to share. Nothing about this room made sense. The lockers could barely fit a purse, there were no hooks - oh yes, all the hooks were over one persons bed - no privacy, no room to walk around to change.
The shower is one of those times push button, you essentially wash yourself with one hand while constantly pressing for water. The shower I picked didn’t really work. I stood there soaped up repeatedly pressing the button and nothing came out. And when it did, the water was scolding hot.

The hostel location is very good. They also have a lockers inside and outside rooms and rent bicycles. My room was very good, clean, with comfortable beds. Staff was very helpful.
