The hotel is pretty grim with little or no hot water, but the staff were nice and the food was very decent.

WORST SERVICE
This is one of the worst hotel experience, Hotel rooms cost is 35$ but room deserves 7$ , How keeping were one of the worst aspect, food were not healthy , nevertheless outside of room was cool.

Budget Hotel - Old Building - Surprisingly Warm inside
The hotel did not have a heater. However, it was surprisingly warm inside although it was biting cold outside.
The toilets are clean - the towels need to be changed. We didn't use them at all. We brought our own bed sheets in our luggage specifically for this hotel. When we stay in budget hotels, we normally use our own bed-sheets and towels. So we are not disappointed.
Food was very reasonably priced.

Worst in Gorkha-Avoid
We had been staying in another hotel but as it was pre booked for the next day we decided to move to another on afternoon. A friend of mine has had bad experience before in this hotel but we decided to give another try.
It wasn't a surprise that the hotel was overcrowded by INGOs and the reception guy told us that they were full. After a minutes bargain they told they had room but without attached bathroom and we said ok. We were five in number and took two rooms on different floors. Then after another bargain we paid for the rooms in advance.
The rooms weren't that great for the price we paid. And the fan had to be repaired . Pillows had smell with a very old torn cover (torn side was facing down). We could also see some marks on the blanket as well.
For dinner we went to their resturant and i didn't find the chicken cooked well in my chicken chowmin,as i already had eaten more half of it i decided not to create any fuss. I had to ask three staff for water and apparently they didn't have it in the resturant (from what i heard from their loud talks).We went there for breakfast as well which was pricier and unsatisfactory in comparison to what we have had in another places in Gorkha.
In our overall experience this hotel was the worst one in Gorkha.
