Very good stay

I live in Windhoek and went for five days to Swakopmund.Its a nice place,clean,very very friendly staff and a superb breakfast.Like the outside area.with a very very clean pool ,tables,chairs,umbrellas.Centrally located,no taxi or car needed.I would say real value for money

4 Star prices for 1 star accommodation

The hotel is clean - that is all that I can say that is positive - their establishment is in desperate need of maintenance - the outside door lock didn’t work and we get locked out, the bedroom door lock got jammed with us in the room, the shower nozzle was just about to fall off and was pointed at the same wall that it was hanging from. The rooms don’t have a coffee station, a kettle was supplied on request. The price included breakfast but we had to pay extra for eggs and bacon. These guys need to seriously reduce their rate

A mixed bag, but not our favorite lodging in Namibia

Hotel-Pension d'Avignon is really a mixed bag. Positives: convenient central location, secure parking, spacious and clean room, help with booking tours. Negatives: definitely needs some updating and repairs, keys don't work well and main doors are locked from the inside, internet was not working in our room, staff is unavailable after 8 pm, they had removed the electric kettle and mugs from our room when we returned, and we had no access to the items we'd stored in the kitchen fridge. Breakfast doesn't start until 8 am. Service was polite but indifferent. They are repainting and there was a strong turpentine odor in the common areas. If returning to Swakopmund, we'd probably look elsewhere.

Nice place and very good location

We went again in this small pension after 18 years since our first stay!
Our room was nice, toilet was a bit old.
We needed a heater for our room and we had it for a small extra amount.
Breakfast was good.
There is private and secure parking.
The location is very good, very close to the center, so you can go there walking (during the day). The promenade on the sea is at walking distance as well.

Felt like home

The place felt like home. A very relaxing environment. Nice big room and very confortable. Not modern but relatively nice. Received a friendly and warm reception. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the sun by the pool. Great location in the town centre.
