Clean, quiet accommodation near the beach

We have stayed here twice with our children, in October 2018 and March 2019. Maggie's offers clean, quiet self-catering accommodation just a block in from the beach. Well-equipped kitchen, helpful owner, excellent location, good value for money.

DON’T STAY HERE!

If you like to be hosted by sour, rude, screaming, inhospitable, invasive and nervous people, you have just found your place!
If you wish to stay in a place where you won’t get any privacy from owners that come into your space & in the house without asking, book this accommodation!
If you are not attached to your belongs and if you are also okay with the owners throwing away your disposable camera with all your roadtrip photos on it (photos that you kept for only special moments) or your brand new, expansive running shoes that the owner - who started checking the apartment already while we were still carrying our bags out - throws out within 2 (!) minutes of your departure, while he knows you are waiting in town in a cafe until the bus comes (we left the apartment earlier to do them a favour - so the cleaner could come earlier), go for it!
Do you like a place that looks more like the airing place of a prison than a cute and homely accommodation? Are you a racist and do you enjoying talking about how apartheid was actually so good in this country? Enjoy a chat with the owners!
Other than that, NEVER stay here. Do yourself a favour and get a nice air bnb close to town, with a nice view, near the cafes, beach & where stuff is happening and stay as far away from these sad people as you can. Don’t be like us and stay there. Stay away.
All our photos are gone, my shoes (I had saved up for) have been thrown away, he could’ve easily sent us a message to either send it or for us to pick it up before the bus came.
So many options then to just throw away values from people that just stayed with you for a week.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU DESIRE A RELAXED VIBE.

Stayed at Maggie’s for 6 nights. The owner is very nosy and came across very stressed. He got in our personal space a lot of times. When we checked out we forgot two of our valuables (running shoes & disposable camera). Instead of sending us a message, they threw it away.
Outside seating as shown on the pictures is not there anymore! Location is also not great as it is 30 min walk to the center of town.
DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU DESIRE A RELAXED VIBE.
