An incredible experience, remote and in luxury

Our stay at Pelican Point is hard to describe in words as it is so different from anything we have ever experienced. The location in the lighthouse on the sandy peninsula is truly otherworldly and one to live to understand. The ocean on one side with its fog rolling in and seals playing in the waves and the bay on the other side with even more seals were such a soothing sight.
We stayed at the Captain’s Cove that allowed us to have a 360 degree view from anywhere in our room. We could observe the seals and jackals from the comfort of our room and large private deck. The room was very comfortable, the dinners excellent (fantastic fresh food that was beautifully presented) and our stay a bliss. Everything is on concierge basis (Cain was fantastic and very attentive!) and can be arranged, a true luxury.
Special thanks to Theresa the in-house masseuse, her magic hands did miracles!
Also, if you like sand driving and have your own 4x4 , then the escort service to the lodge will be a fun adventure as Marvin knows the drill and get cars out when they are stuck (the sand is really deep)! If you don’t, their pick-up service from town or Swakopmund is just perfect and totally stress-free.
Absolutely enjoyed every minute here and would go back in a heartbeat!

An Unforgettable, Unique Experience!

An Unforgettable, Unique Experience!
There are no words to describe how much we enjoyed our stay at Pelican Point Lodge!
The location is truly unique and the atmosphere is extraordinary.
All the rooms are individually designed and decorated with excellent taste, featuring beautiful wooden furniture.
A special thank you to the staff—Marvin, Zion, Nicole, and Beauty—who were so generous and met all our needs immediately with a smile.
The meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) were delicious, featuring fresh products and wonderful homemade breads.
We truly hope to return to this unique place one day, and we warmly recommend it to anyone seeking a special and unforgettable experience.

Unique lodge, fantastic

An incredibly beautiful lodge at the end of the dune. We had a wonderful time, fantastic ambience, good food and very very nice staff. Marvin led us great by car over the dune as a lead vehicle, very exciting, top briefing, was really fun. A unique experience staying there!!!

Unique and exclusive experience

Two nights at the lighthouse is unique. You feel like you're in one of the few remaining lost paradises. Given its isolation you live with sea lions and the noise of ocean waves. It doesn't have all the luxuries of a resort, wifi fails, no air conditioning... but the emblematic building supplies everything. We slept at the 360 penthouse. Unforgettable kayak tour. Friendly staff, kitchen of ten.

A Hidden Gem at the Edge of the Atlantic

If you are looking for a stay that feels completely removed from the world - yet wrapped in comfort and understated luxury - Pelican Point Lodge is nothing short of extraordinary.
Set at the very tip of a remote peninsula between the Atlantic Ocean and the Walvis Bay Lagoon, the lodge occupies a converted lighthouse building surrounded by sea on almost every side. The drive alone feels like an adventure crossing the salt flats and sand with flamingos in the distance - and when you arrive, it feels as though you’ve discovered a secret.
The location is simply breathtaking. On one side: crashing Atlantic waves. On the other: the calm lagoon filled with pelicans, flamingos, and seals. At sunrise and sunset, the light over the water turns everything gold and pink. You feel like you’re staying at the edge of the earth.
The rooms are spacious, elegant, and designed to maximize the view. Large windows frame the ocean so completely that you can watch seals playing in the surf from your bed. The décor is tasteful and warm - luxury without being flashy. Every detail feels thoughtful and intentional.
The hospitality is exceptional. The team led by Marvin is attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere is relaxed and personal. Meals are beautifully prepared by chef Zion, often featuring fresh seafood, and dining with panoramic ocean views is an experience in itself. There’s something very special about enjoying a candlelit dinner while waves crash just meters away. Zion’s bread is also to die for.
Few places allow you to see thousands of seals lounging nearby, pelicans gliding overhead, and flamingos wading in the lagoon — all without leaving the property. It feels wild, untouched, and authentic.
What makes Pelican Point Lodge unforgettable is the feeling it creates: peace, remoteness, and quiet luxury combined. It’s romantic, adventurous, and deeply calming all at once. Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply seeking a unique Namibian escape, this is a place you will talk about long after you leave.
Five stars - and then some.
