Fabulous family holiday
Ideally situated, within walking distance of eveything, close to the Place des Ferblantiers.
Good restaurants, bars and local patisseries too.
Riad, confortableand clean and looked after by Youssef who made the stay ever so special - he offered great advice always with a friendly smile!
The excursion organised by Youssef was great - off the beaten track and amazing scenery provided by our driver and guide, Larbi.
Jacuzzi on the roof terasse much appreciated as well as sunbeds and straw hats! A surprising haven of peace in a city that never stops!
Good restaurants, bars and local patisseries too.

A very grim area is the setting for this riad.
Poverty, dirt, and neglected cats, abound in the immediate area.
The actual rue Touareg is ok, not too untidy.
You are likely to be facing near collisions with motorcycles driven badly, at speed, round blind corners in pedestrian areas.
Beggar women sit in dust at the end of the next corner.
Not a pleasant setting.
Arrived at the airport, picked up by a man who spoke not a word of English.
Dropped at the riad, met by Youssef, who made us some delicious mint tea and I enjoyed that.
Please note, Youssef will decline to let you pay for your stay by card.
Very odd, as supposed boss Sandrine had emailed months ago to say I can pay by card, after she accepted a deposit before the stay. Very very odd.
I think breakfast is a nice experience , as sparrows join you at the table.
Riad is very cool and a fairly nice zone to relax , after the heat outside.
Roof is open, there is cooling air circulating all the time.
Open terrasse on top but cannot see sunset properly as walls too high.
TV is not provided, remember that. No tv in rooms.
Communal tv not working. Orange juice, jam, bread for breakfast, with coffee.
The insistence on cash payment baffles me.

Dear Customer,
I can not let you say that the riad is in a sinister area because we are in the historic district of Marrakech near the King's House, one of the favorite neighborhoods of all (customers and locals).
Certainly there are stray cats as in all the Medina but our streets are cleaned several times a day.
We can do nothing against begging and even less against mopeds, although we have brought information to the authorities because they are dangerous for us all.
Despite everything, once again our neighborhood is not the most affected by this.
I confirm that the payment of the room can be made by credit card.
I hope that despite all your remarks, you will have spent a pleasant stay in the riad.

Amazing
Riad Soleil is a hidden delight on rue touareg. Centrally located in quiet location , 10 minute walk to square and souks. Incredible dinner at Riad cooked by Asmina. Yousef the manager was incredibly helpful and a great character. The riad is beautifully decorated. Had room on the second floor, very comfortable, lots of hot water. Will without doubt stay here on next visit.

Booked 14 nights stayed for 3
We were so excited to visit Marrakesh and after hours of searching settled on this Riad. Upon arrival we were offered a different room to the one we booked. After an hour on the phone to the owner who was in France and her manager spoke no English, we finally got the room we booked. They apparently had no booking for us, and were doing us a favour accommodating us. Furthermore we were asked to pay again by credit card despite advising and showing the manager the amount taken on my bank statement.
The room itself was lovely but needed maintenance and a new bed, as it was bowing and not comfortable at all. The shower tricked warm water, and considering it was winter a hot shower was needed. The roof terrace was depressing with all of the sun loungers adorned with drying washing, so nowhere to sit and relax after a day of adventures. The hot tub was closed with a cover so another disappointment.
Breakfast was served daily but really not great - pancake or cake, bread and fresh orange juice with tea. The thought of that for 14 days was daunting. One morning the staff served us in their pyjamas which we found unprofessional.
We ended up moving out on the 3rd day, and I must say eBookers who booked this for us did refund the balance.
We would not go back or recommend sadly.

Lovely staff and beautiful riad
Staff was very helpful and accomodating. Place was very clean and we loved our stay! Youssef was new to the Riad and extremely helpful ( you would never have been able to tell he was new)! He even gave a tour of Marrakech to the other guests staying in the Riad. Our room was beautiful and you really get the Moroccan feel.
