Authentic riad

Very old and charming yes the bathrooms could do with up dating but they were clean and perfectly usable but for the money and proximity to the square it was exactly what we expected
The young man (host) was a delight very helpful easy to talk to and on hand pretty much 24/7 reminded us of the marigold hotel film
If your looking for luxury then not for you
If your looking to enjoy a city break on a budget then it’s clean tidy authentic and just the ticket

Very bad experience

Mould in the wahroom, poor location, no wardrobe, and lack of security. The restroom's water was not draining. no essential amenities at all
Not clean at all.
Insufficient services, toiletries, a door that wouldn't close, and adequate lighting. Don't suggest it to anybody.

Excellent value for money for a guaranteed change of scenery!

Far from the hotel complexes or rentals in the more western districts, this pretty little riad is very well located in the medina, between the La Mamounia palace, whose gardens it adjoins, and points of interest such as the Saadian tombs, the palace Bahia or Jam'n el Fna square which are 10-15 minutes away on foot, as well as restaurants and shops (otherwise taxis are available in the street).
The host is very friendly, available and prepares delicious Moroccan dinners and breakfasts if necessary, to be taken on the roof top.
The bed is made and the towels changed daily.
All for a reasonable price which allows you to live in the heart of the city and the daily lives of its residents.
In short, I recommend!

Like staying with family.

From the moment we arrived in the Riad, my wife and I felt like we were staying with family. The breakfast and dinners cooked by Asdin were fantastic and restaurant quality and as a host, he left us both very happy and well looked after.
The rooftop terrace was just being renovated towards the end of our stay but was were we would often spend most of our time in the sun and enjoying the views and wildlife. At night the area is quiet and peaceful and with the royal palace being so close there are lots of police and security for the area and we felt very safe walking around the streets.
Asdin was a great host and made my wife and I very comfortable and was more than accommodating to our needs and requests. We had a lovely time and it was great chatting to the host when we were free. We learnt about the local area and the city and were given lots of information about Morroco.
We both had an amazing time staying here and would definitely book again for our next visit to Marrakech.

Perfect Riad! Perfect Location! Perfect Hosts!

The riad Elli is an absolute feel-good oasis! Great rooms, great breakfast and wonderful hosts! An absolute must in Marrakech! If you have questions then you will be helped immediately. Very dear thanks for everything! I definitely will come back (:
