An Unforgettable Stay at the Riad

I spent wonderful days with my partner at this riad in Fès. The location is excellent and the services offered met our expectations. The breakfast was delicious, with typical dishes that immersed us in the traditional cuisine of Fès.
Additionally, we greatly appreciated the taxi service to and from the airport, which made everything more convenient. One of the most beautiful experiences was dining on the terrace, where we could enjoy a lovely view of the medina and the picturesque streets and alleys.
A special thanks to all the staff at the riad, especially to Leila, Aeya, and the charming young man, who made us feel at home. Thanks also to everyone working in the kitchen for delighting us with every meal. I highly recommend this riad to anyone looking for an authentic stay in Fès!

Nice room, amazing interior and great location in the medina with a drop-off area 2-minute walk away (text the riad for drop-off location). Food was great. We left early in the morning before the breakfast time, they offered takeaway for the complementary breakfast Lights were a bit dim in the room and the drain smelled in the bathroom.

Riad Ouliya

Great experience. Hotel Ouliya is so beautiful and close to the gate Rcif and an easy walk to the copper markets! We ate at their rooftop restaurant every night, it was delicious. Haitham, the waiter and receptionist was the best. He welcomed us in and helped us with everything he could. He made sure we were happy and safe and enjoying our time. He was so helpful and friendly, ask him about anything he is knowledgeable and a good resource. We are so glad he was there.

Of the four different riads we stayed in throughout our stay in Morroco, this was the most beautiful. HOWEVER….
The breakfast was definitely the most underwhelming with limited options. The staff was also the least friendly/helpful. We reached out about parking near the Riad, and while a parking garage was provided, they did not include the bus information. Instead, we walked 15 minutes through the winding alleys and up/down the stairs with our luggage. In comparison to the other riads, they did not provide any suggestions nor check in with us as we passed one another.
Although we shared our arrival time in advance, our room was not ready & we were shuffled around. The room itself was decent but the bathroom needed updates, especially with the plumbing. Also, anytime you turned on the water, there was strong sewage smell.
Since we had an early departure, we were told to check out the night before without problem. Before leaving for dinner & drinks we asked to check out since our return might be late, but were told not to worry. When we did ultimately return, the man was visibly annoyed. He was rude & impatient explaining our balance. It left a bad taste to an already lackluster experience.

The room and bathrooms were very clean. Staff was extremely helpful when we got there: they met us at the main road and walked us through the alleys to the Riad, then before we left to get food Marwane gave us some very helpful advice about typical things to look out for on the streets like tourist traps and scams that we didn't see in other cities. Marwane also gave us the typical walking tour route to see all the popular destinations of Fes without needing a guide and was very responsive if we needed anything like a taxi or extra towels. He made our stay very welcoming and I would definitely stay here again!
