Amazing value for money and a good location. Short walk to the center and the mayor business and office buildings in Ulan Bataar. And believe me, walking is the by far fastest and convenient way to get around in UB. The staff was really friendly, good English speaking and so helpful, as Mongolian people are in general.

There is mold in the shower that probably cannot be cleaned. But also the location is great. Also the water does not give constant hot/cold water temperature and can be hard to take a shower

Terrible hotel!
We booked this hotel for a three-day stay of the organization's management on a business trip abroad. We received complete disappointment and negative emotions when checking into the Zolo Hotel 4* (Ulaanbaatar). The hotel absolutely does not correspond to the stated number of stars. We booked 5 single rooms of standard category. In one of the rooms, upon check-in, the hairdryer and doors in the shower were broken, towels in all rooms have an unpleasant musty smell. One of the rooms was provided with a pink children's bed, which did not correspond at all to the description and photo when booking; photos of this room are not presented on any website of this hotel.
Breakfast for guests is very poor, cold and late. On the breakfast menu: pasta, one and a half sausages per guest, eggs, cucumbers and instant coffee - this is very stingy for a 4* hotel! It was not possible to promptly resolve the issue of relocating our guests, because it was simply impossible to reach the hotel by phone and the guests had to personally resolve this issue with the hotel administrator. The hotel staff speaks poor English. Photos on the site and some of the information are outdated.
We strongly do not recommend Zolo hotel 4* (Ulaanbaatar) for accommodation!

I don't recommend it!
I really don't recommend this hotel. We arrived late in the evening as a family with children. We were denied a reservation, saying that the dates were mixed up, and the reservation was made through the hotel manager. We asked to somehow resolve the situation, the reception staff does not speak either Russian or English. For an hour we tried in vain to figure out the situation and asked to talk to the manager. An hour later we were offered to move to another hotel, twice the price, an excellent solution to the situation. The hotel itself is very old, very unkempt, very dirty. It’s better not to make mistakes and immediately choose another hotel.

Stayed for the week and was a nice cheap hotel near the city centre. Only issue I had was that the AC had no remote, nor a switch to turn on. So unless the windows were open, it could get pretty toasty in the room. Otherwise, receptionists were helpful in helping out with taxis and where to sightsee.
