A wonderful stay - sincerely friendly and helpful staff

My husband and I stayed six nights at Casa Comtesse in October 2025. We discovered the property through the Lonely Planet guidebook, which never lets me down—and this was no exception.
Casa Comtesse is tucked into the southern edge of the Condesa neighborhood. There was plenty of foot traffic, and we felt safe walking both day and night. Upbeat music plays in the evenings, but it’s pleasantly quiet during the night hours.
We had a Junior Suite on the second floor overlooking the enclosed patio. The room was generously sized, with a Nespresso maker, a desk and sitting area, and plentiful outlets. Hot water was reliable, and the rainfall showerhead was a nice touch. The front desk appeared to be staffed 24/7, and there was daily housekeeping—which, in my experience, is not typical for a B&B.
There’s a small bar onsite offering a mezcal tasting included with the booking—hosted by one of the staff members and a lot of fun. We enjoyed the daily breakfast, and they accommodated a vegetarian traveler perfectly well.
Every member of the staff was sincerely friendly and kind. In advance of our trip, I had coordinated a private tour and transport to Teotihuacan through the B&B, which worked out perfectly.
If I had one small suggestion for improvement, it would be to add a few more hooks or a towel bar in the bathroom and perhaps additional lighting around the desk.
Overall, considering the final bill, travel dollars go very far at Casa Comtesse—a wonderful stay that exceeded our expectations.

A wonderful option a little away from the main area of Condesa but easily walkable. Comfortable room, great, helpful staff. Coming back after a day out felt like coming home. It was nice to talk to other guests at the breakfast each morning.

Lovely Boutique Bed and Breakfast!

I had a wonderful experience at Casa Comtesse. The service in particular was lovely from everyone I encountered. Breakfast was great, a selection of cold dishes/bread/fruit you serve yourself with a daily hot entree. The whole hotel is decorated in an eclectic mix of art and crafts, which lends it kind of a funky and colorful vibe. A neat bonus is the included mezcal tasting which was both fun and educational. Note that the location is just a few blocks south of Condesa/Hippodromo but a very short walk to many restaurants and stores.

A boutique hotel full of character and extras

We had a great experience at Casa Comtesse, from the free Mezcal tasting to the detailed and helpful advice about restaurants and travel logistics, we were made to feel welcome and cared for.
The bathroom had one or two minor drawbacks but I don't expect plumbing perfection in a historic house. Similarly, our room looked out onto the adjacent Metrobus stop which, though not noisy, issued a regular stream of electronic rings and dings that were a minor irritant if you chose to have the window ajar during the night.
Breakfast was delightfully communal which gave us the opportunity to compare travel notes with fellow guests. The meal itself was simple but an optional daily special gave added interest.
The hotel is around a 20 mins walk away from a metro stop which was a minor inconvenience at the end of a tiring day but we didn't use the nearby metrobus stop (Escandon) so can't testify as to its serviceability though it looks like MB Nuevo Leon (10 mins away) might be better for getting to Centro. On the plus side, the hotel is very close to all the Condessa action and, allegedly, some great taquerias.
All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and would happily return for our next visit.
