Could be better

The hotel needs a major face lift. Our room had visible cracks. The family room is spacious with good water pressure. Air con is nice and cold. The bathroom wall and door needs a thorough cleaning. Mattress is comfortable.

Unacceptable Stay – No Water Supply and Poor Service Response

I checked into Room 319 at Riverview Hotel on 26 April 2026 around 4 PM. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
From 12 AM onwards, there was no water supply in my room, and the issue persisted until the next morning. I reported this to the receptionist, but instead of resolving the problem promptly, I was simply told to wait. No technician or staff was sent to inspect or fix the issue.
What made the situation worse was the lack of proper service recovery. I was not offered a room change initially. Instead, I was given a key to another room just to use the bathroom, which is highly inconvenient and unacceptable, especially since I had already paid in full for my stay.
When I requested compensation, I was told there would be none. The staff also mentioned that all other rooms had water and only my room was affected, yet no immediate action was taken to resolve it.
The next morning, I received a call from hotel staff stating that a refund could not be provided. They also claimed that I had declined an offer to change rooms earlier, which is not true. At no point was I offered an alternative room before I raised further complaints.
This experience reflects poor service standards, lack of accountability, and inadequate handling of guest issues. I am very dissatisfied and believe a full refund or an equivalent complimentary stay would be a fair resolution.

It is located next to the shopping mall and is convenient if you need groceries. There are room for improvement in cleanliness, spider wed at the corner, towels have stains.

Hotel is decently maintained and room is acceptable. Towels were stained and we have to go down to counter to exchange for a new towels. The counter staff were friendly. Nothing much to expect just a normal room to stay in for a night.
