Nice place with excellent garden
Nice place, very nice nad clean rooms. Close to the beach. Big garden with place to sit, eat and even grill. The owner very pleasing, nice to talk to. Some resaurants in walking distance. I like it. We stayed one night, but could be longer.

Very nice experience! Highly recommend!
Very considerate owner, relaxing and laid-back atmosphere, very clean, perfect location for everything: walking distance to the sea, a supermarket that is close by and a bus station - very convenient. Good wifi signal. There are signs in the road so it's very difficult to get lost.

Only for very seasoned experimental travellers/Do not always trust numbers
Everything looked so beautiful in the pictures and a lot was promised on the places website. I stayed with my 18-y old son for 2 nights in July. We got the bungalow. It was probably smaller than my bedroom at home, yet consisted of a bed area and bathroom. It was more than 30 centrigrade outside, no air conditioning, but instead there was an old warmer with burned logs inside, and the bed was made with very thick blankets.There was a water boiler, but no refridgerator, No chair or table inside. Outside on terrace there was one chair and a table.
The businessmanager/owner(?)took us to the bungalow. Her residence is the first building and you announce yourself by ringing her doorbell, the door is closed.
The yard is beautiful with roses and a lot of other plants.
However, I have never slept in a place smelling worse than that one. The worst was the bathroom where you hardly were able to breath. At some times, the floor was suddenly wet and I would think it was the plumbing. The smell of mold, rot, whatever was worst in shower but could be felt as well in the towels and linens.
We did not feel welcome at all, and there were rules emerging by surprise. We were allowed to use the minikitchen outside, but when sitting in another area a guest told my son and elderly relatives to leave since it was only for his family. Another big room, which was advertised and showed on the business home page, was also forbidden and I had to beg to be able to use it for one hour even if the guests in that building had welcomed us there. Also, I was not allowed to hire the room either for any price. Sauna was in the same building and heating it for us would have cost 40 euros, the same price as the room, for probably max 2 hours! No wonder it seemed and smelled deserted.
You could order breakfast for the following morning for 7 e/person at a time desired in the main house. The breakfast was good, omelet, coffee, bread, even a dessert, but you had to be absolute precise: we were late by 3 minutes when we were fetched from the bungalow.
The owner did not know much English which lead to having to use other guests as translators. Things were mostly settled that way but it was quite stressful. There were also misunderstandings making our stay difficult: I had asked to get a taxi (I think you can not get a taxi in Latvia in countryside easily), but the manager expressed that it was too short a way, we could walk. Thus, a relative had to come to pick us up.
The hotel site also says it is only 300 m from the beach -I would say it was closer to 1 km. Besides, you have to able to walk in wood and there are 45 steps down to the beach. The beach itself is beautiful and certainly not crowded, but you have to be aware that a person with a handicap, difficulty in moving and walking, can not reach the beach without help. There are also no services in that part of the beach.
In order to get food, you will have to walk to closest shop (maybe the distance is the same as to the beach), and the closest restaurant is ab 2 kms further. So some kind of transportation is needed.
I cannot help feeling that we were not speaking the correct language to get any service, one part of the unpleasant experience might be due to a very short history of privately owned and operated businesses.
I did not see or smell the other rooms, so my review is based on our experience of the bungalow, but I would like to add that this was also at Tripadvisor the first review written by a western person speaking Engkish.

Хороший отдых возле моря
Красивый двор с цветниками, скамейками, зоной отдыха. Тишина и покой. Есть кухня чтобы приготовить пищу. Чисто, аккуратно. Хорошая коммуникация с хозяйкой. Можно оставить вещи после chek-out. Рядом красивый лес и пляж.

Осторожно! Сняли бронь без уведомления.
Бронировали в марте напрямую через управляющего. Нам подтвердили даты и написали, что ждут летом. Когда в июне попросила прислать официальное подтверждение для оформление виз, написали, что у них мест нет и предложили поискать что-то еще. Т.е. они сняли бронь, а нас даже не поставили в известность. При том, что мы в прошлом году у них уже отдыхали и у нас не было никаких проблем и конфликтных ситуаций.
