Like home in the heart of Nara.

During our stay in Nara, we chose the Rokune Hotel for 2 nights and we have excellent memories of it.
The establishment offers true apartment-hotels of about 43 m², particularly spacious for Japan... We appreciated having all the necessary comforts: Japanese bathroom, reversible air conditioning, equipped kitchen with dishes, comfortable bedding, sofa, and flat-screen TV. Everything is designed for you to feel at home quickly.
Things to know: The hotel operates autonomously, without a physical reception. Before our arrival, we received all the necessary codes by email to access the main entrance as well as our apartment. The system is simple, efficient, and allows for great freedom of organization.
Another appreciated point: many everyday equipment and products are provided free of charge in self-service at the entrance of the establishment. A practical attention that greatly facilitates the stay.
Finally, the location is a real asset. Located near the Nara train station, the hotel allows easy access to the main historical, cultural, and tourist sites of Nara. Whether to discover the temples, gardens, or the famous deer of the city, everything quickly becomes accessible.
A comfortable, modern, and perfectly located accommodation that we gladly recommend to anyone wishing to discover Nara under the best conditions.

No staff members in premises but instructions to check in a simple and clear to make the process fast and efficient. Room was very clean and tidy and with lots of space. Had an assortment of useful amenities and was very close to attraction we wanted to see (The Nara Deer). Overall a wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Nara and visit the deer.

There were broken glass at the entry. That resulted in a small cut in the foot. The staff was quick to respond online, that they would come and clean it and they did. Unfortunately they did not manage to find all the broken glass as we found some later during our stay. Very unfortunate.

Perfect for a one night stay. Easy check in and check out. Room was clean and great to have a washing machine included. Hot plate wasn’t working but didn’t need it. Close to station. Would stay there again.
