A real taste of Japan
It is very near the train station. There is not much in the town, apart from a few shops, but the railway is so near that exploring other areas of the valley and surroundings is very easy. We found the samurai castle at Aizuwakamatsu really good. The railway also links to the main Shinkansen train route so is easy to get to and from at Koriyama and there are regular trains all day.
English is not spoken much, the food is real Japanese and the rooms are mostly traditional. They do have western rooms, but I would go for the traditional ones where you sleep on the floor with quilts from the cupboards. The rooms are quite large. Out kids loved the whole experience. The Onsens – (large hot baths) are also good and can be taken at any time, either in public or private.
The hotel was a bit cold in the corridors, but it was deep mid winter and the heating inside the rooms was fine.
Much better than the tourist trap hotels that we saw around in the larger towns and good value for money.

浴場が狭いです。
立地は磐梯熱海駅から徒歩♀️で5分程の所にあり、車に乗らなければアクセスは便利です。
お代もサービスのグレードを落としている分だけ比較的安めで、贅沢を言わなければなんぼの部屋です。
今どきは寒いので棚から布団を出しましょう。
肝心の浴場は1階が10人入れば満杯になるほどの狭さで、上越妙高駅前のアパホテルと互角の狭さを誇ります。
しかし、4階の貸切風呂は木の風呂と石の風呂の2室あり、木の風呂の方が広いです。人気が高いので、簡単に枠が埋まります。
ここに髭剃りクリームはありません。髭剃りのセットは自前で持っていきましょう。
朝食の枠は7時から1時間半なので非常に狭いです。
食堂もそれほど広くなく、簡易バイキングです。
夕食は『やど弁』というお弁当のプランを勧めます。
比較的安めで子供でも好き嫌いが少ないなら食べられそうなものばかりが出ており、量もそこそこです。
即席のお味噌汁はお湯を沸かしましょう。
食べ終わったら、廊下に置いて回収してもらうことになります。
また、やど弁は早くても18時半にならないと受け取れません。
逆を言えば、それまでの時間でお風呂をハシゴしましょう。
或いはWi-Fiを繋いで自室でYouTubeでも聞いて寛ぐのも術です。
現地の温泉むすめ♨️である磐梯熱海萩嬢がフロント前で迎えてくれることも有り難いです。

こんな旅館 もっと広まってほしい
なので従業員の方は部屋に入ってきません。
夕食も事前に頼めるようですが，近隣をぶらついて探すのが好きなので，
基本コースの「朝食のみ」にしました。
部屋には基本はＭサイズの浴衣がセットされているようで，受付時にＬサイズを渡していただきました。同じく部屋には歯ブラシのみ。
ひげそり，綿棒等を希望するときはフロントで申し出る。無駄なサービス不要！
駐車場がわかりづらかった。公式ＷＥＢにも載っていない（かな？）
一度駅前広場まで出て，線路沿いの一番南側の道路を西に進む。
まだ明るかったから「猫マーク」を見いだせたが，暗かったら困ったぞ。
「猫マーク」は割り箸，レシート，浴衣等と猫好きにはたまらない。
図書室には小説，コミックがたくさん。
貸切風呂 待ち時間なく「岩風呂」「檜風呂」ともに利用。
個人的には「檜風呂」かな。
利用時間４０分とあるが，これは利用者のモラルで。
駅に近い。駅前広場には「足湯（日没まで利用可）」あり。
ビールを飲みながら…，と思っても，
・駅前にはランチも食せるお惣菜屋さんがあるが，日曜祝日は１６：３０閉店。
・コンビニまではちょっと歩く。
どこかで夕食をと考えたが，１７時の時点では居酒屋（ラーメン，焼き鳥 とあった）のみ。連れの希望で宿の食堂で食べることにした。値段も中身も悪くない。
コンビニは遠いし，持ち込み禁止だが，フロント前の売店ではビール，チューハイ，アイスも買える。（チューハイ３５０ｍｌが２００円なので特別に高いわけではない。）
室内はとてもきれい。
朝食は，１Ｆ食堂で。和食のビュッフェ。約１０品のおかず。
パンはない。お吸い物がいまいちかな。
アンケートに答えると，誕生日割引券が届くみたいです。また利用したいです

B&Bな温泉宿
温泉はしっとりとした感じで泉質のよさを感じました。気軽に低価格で温泉を満喫できる宿でとてもよいですが、旅館のサービスはありませんので。

泉質がいいので、お肌ツルツルになります。
