Nice Base for exploring Kochi City

A clean and bright example of modern minimalist design, the 7 Days Hotel Plus in central Kochi suited us well for a three night stay. It’s two tram stops and a short walk from the RR station and convenient to shopping. Our rooms was small but efficiently designed, with a desk just big enough to deploy two laptops. Couples must take turns using the bathroom. Our bed was comfortable, the coin washer and dryer on the ground floor were convenient, and our breakfast (served in the hotel lobby) gave a nice choice of Japanese and western offerings.

Very good location, good breakfast

Very good location, close to train station as well to Castle and Hirome market. Room are small like in Japan, but comfortable. For breakfast you can choose Japanese style(rice, smoked salmon, miso soup, egg, mix green salad) or continental style. Close to hotel a lots of nice, real Japanese style and atmosphere izakaya

Smart and enjoyable Hotel

The ‘7 Days Hotel Plus’, is a very trick and cool hotel to stop at. The design, layout and furnishings are great, the hotel is in an easy walking distance to Kochi Castle and other sites, along with numerous places to experience great food, drink and locals out and about. Yes the rooms are on the normal small side by Western standards, but hey you are not in the West. They are more than sufficient covering your needs. The breakfast is good, basically a continental ++ but more than adequate and included in the cost. The staff are very professional and helpful. I am very happy to recommend this hotel and would gladly stay again.

Pleasant stay, good location

Stayed just one night here. The room was fairly small, but was well appointed. Small bathroom, but served its purpose well enough. Breakfast, served in the lobby, was good with a decent selection. Free car parking for the duration, which was a godsend. Good location for going out to eat and drink, and near to the Hirome Ichiba and other locations.

Pleasant stay

The hotel is well located. It is close to where the Sunday markets take place, the Hirome Market, Kochi railway station and the city trams. My wife and I stayed in a semi-double bed room, which although small, was comfortable enough for us. The breakfast, although simple, was a real bargain. It is a set breakfast. My wife can not eat food containing gluten, preservatives, or MSG. She speaks Japanese and was able to explain her situation to the hotel staff. The staff provided her with plain yoghurt and a salad minus the dressing for breakfast. The breakfast normally includes assorted toasted bread, pastries, fruit, salad with a dressing, yoghurt with an added flavouring, fruit juice and tea and coffee. On the evening we arrived my wife asked the staff if they knew of any restaurants that would cater for her dietary requirements. A staff member made a suggestion, then rang the restaurant, Totoya, and checked. The restaurant was able to serve a nine course dinner for us. All of which delighted my wife.
