The heartwarming inn that supported my mother's reunion after eight months

I took my mother out of the facility with a friend and the three of us stayed there. I usually live in the United States and it's been eight months since I saw my mother. I used to think of him as healthy, but in reality he was barely moving from his car to his wheelchair.
An innkeeper who saw how my mother was doing helped me move around with my bun without hesitation. She also brought dinner, which she would normally have had to leave, to her room in a hurry for her mother. I was really surprised at how warm they were.
It should be noted that this is courtesy of special circumstances, and it is immensely difficult to carry many dishes away from home. I'm not posting this in the sense that I want people who don't need it to do the same. I'd love to tell you that.
I was talking to a friend about how amazing it is to train staff who can handle such wonderful things, and later I learned that the owner was his young husband, a former member of the Self-Defense Forces. I was convinced that this was why he offered me the piggyback without hesitation.
The inn is said to be managed by a family separated from the restaurant by three buildings. And it is the younger brother of Waka-danna who is cooking hearty food. All of the dishes made with ingredients unique to Aso were wonderful, and my mother, who has dementia, deliciously carried them to her mouth, and her expression naturally eased.
The bath surrounded by greenery also had a bedrock bath, and the time spent enjoying coffee on the deck overlooking the pond was exceptional. We were also impressed by the wide variety of drinks available for additional order and the excellent selection. This is a very special inn where you can relax in nature and feel the warmth and hospitality of your family.
I am truly grateful that I was able to create such precious memories with my mother. If you have the chance to visit Aso again, I would definitely like to revisit it.

Bon holiday travel

I stayed on a family vacation during the summer vacation. It was in the woods and there were a lot of beetles and stag beetles coming, so we couldn't catch them directly, but the children were overjoyed when the ryokan gave us a part of the animals they had caught. Thank you very much.

Lovely family run inn

What a lovely experience at a family run Japanese Inn. The setting is beautiful. Your private cottage deck backs on to a creek surrounded by trees, with floor to ceiling windows surround. The dinner and breakfast were delicious! We enjoyed our stay very much.

Father's impression (plus child's impression)

The facilities are satisfactory, the food is normal.
(plus it was a nice and cosy inn. It was not a hot spring, but the bath and bedrock bath felt good.)

Fascinating experience in boutique hotel in nature!

Excellent experience.
Family run boutique hotel, with only 3 rooms.
Outstanding dinner and breakfast.
Our room was a small house, with private onsen and sauna, facing the wood. Beautiful view. Immersed in nature.
Owners took care of all details, ensuring top experience.
I strongly recommend staying 1-2 nights!

Very good location
