3 night stay in an excellent Turin hostel

Excellent little hostel in the center of Turin. Very good location to visit the center on foot or to take public transport. On a small, quiet square away from the main traffic routes. On the top floor of an old building, elevator, except for access to the top floor. Very warm welcome and information on the city, particularly on the architecture (the innkeepers are professionals). Delicious coffee prepared in the morning, no breakfast, but equipped kitchen available and large table for eating meals and interacting with other visitors. A small supermarket and many cafes and restaurants nearby. Pleasant room with minimalist/vintage decor, large window, efficient air conditioning, very small sink, numerous electrical outlets. Practical shared bathroom (large sink, 2 toilets, 2 showers). Everything is clean and well maintained. Possibility of leaving your bag on the morning of departure to collect it in the afternoon.
To recommend without hesitation.

Ideally located but…

The youth hostel is very well located, a stone's throw from Porta Nuova. The rooms are decent, but dusty. The air conditioning stops automatically, despite the heat wave, and it is impossible to close the window shutters, making sleeping in complicated. The shared bathroom areas need renovation: the shower seals are black or even missing, the toilets don't lock…
The common areas are nice but I didn't find an atmosphere conducive to meeting people there.

Very kind and poor hygiene

Very kind managers. Room very much improvable. Mattress with huge, clearly visible stains. Dirty bedspread. Bathroom with temporarily broken drain. Shower box with broken curtain instead of the door. Very poor hygiene! Excellent location. We did not use the kitchen.

A dirty room

The hostel is very central, next to Porta Nuova station. I complained with the owner, Carlo, that my room had not been cleaned prior to my arrival and that there was dust and fluff under my bed.His wife swept under my bed to check this out and the sheet of the sweeper came all dirty. He was so arrogant to blame it on me that I was still in my room when there is curfew for cleaning from 11 to 13:30,which I was not. When I checked in, he said that I can use milk for free but it had long expired . He should not be hosting people, he is rude and arrogant. i do not recommend it.

Short stay in Turin

Ideal for a simple and hassle-free visit to the super city of Turin. 2 minutes from the train station and close to all the main museums and palaces. Pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and friendliness of the place. In one 3 days I used the bus once!
