Adequately trained staff

It has now been four years that, during my vacations in Salento, I stop in Trani and choose this hotel. The location is truly excellent, just a few steps from the center, and the availability of a secure parking lot is a much-appreciated added value.
Unfortunately, this year I noticed a clear decline in the management of the property. I had the impression that the hotel was entrusted to very young staff, certainly polite and helpful, but not yet adequately prepared to manage a four-star property.
I hope that the management invests more in staff training, because the property has great potential and deserves service that lives up to its category.

We were very much looking forward to our stay at the Mare Resort but unfortunately our four nights were ruined as the hotel was being used to support the build of a massive stage and other supporting infrastructure for a concert outside the front door of the hotel. The noise and disruption to our use of the hotel as guests was totally unacceptable.
We received no prior warning that there may be this level of disruption to enable us to review our booking which again is totally unacceptable behaviour on the part of the hotel owners who we assume profited from renting space and rooms to the concert organisers. On this basis the hotel should have been closed to normal guests and rented totally to the concert organisers.
Other comments:
1. We were denied access to the hotel by concert security staff on a number of occasions and had to negotiate our way in!
2. Breakfast was very low quality produce served in a dimly lit meeting room with no outside windows.
3. The lifts were not working for extended periods.
4. Sound and lighting equipment were all over the place being moved to the third floor.
5. The only positive were the staff who were very apologetic and to be honest appeared embarrassed that paying guests were treated so badly.

Perfect, right by the small harbor.

Particular hotel, small reception in a hallway with beautiful antique carriages. We had beautiful rooms on the top floor with particular terracotta vaults, some accessible only by a few steps. Average breakfast, mostly sweet. Excellent location, the stunning cathedral is worth the trip, and the restaurants by the harbor are good.

Traces of resorts

Defining a 4-star Resort Culti style structure, I find it nothing short of imaginative. Classic room overlooking cavedio , inside which there are no slippers or welcome kits, let alone a measly bottle of water. The noises of those preparing the breakfast room located on the same floor of the rooms arrived as early as 7.00 in the morning. Poor maintenance, on breakfast it is better to draw a pitiful veil.

The room was too hot for a comfortable sleep. After the first night we were told that they would check to see about turning the heat off and the air on. We weren’t offered a fan to help sleep or any other help. Upon checkout we were told that by law, they couldn’t turn on the air conditioning until April 20. We checked out on April 18. The breakfast buffet was horrible. We tried it the first day and never went back. The rooftop terrace was closed for the season, even though the weather was warm. We would have enjoyed sitting there. The location was great and we loved the town. The hotel was on the verge of being dated and neglected. The management was unwilling to offer any help or compensation for our discomfort. We suggested they waive the parking fee. We never even received an apology for the sleepless nights.
