Must go

Second time I've been there with friends. Cecilia' s welcome was warm and friendly and ready to advice you about beaches and restaurants. The breakfast was gorgeous ( amazing homemade cakes and jams). The room was very clean with a typical Sardinian decoration. 5 minutes from Arbatax Port.

More can be done

Booked through Booking with breakfast included, but just arrived the owner tells us that this is not the case. To be entitled to breakfast makes us immediately cancel the Reservation and of course the payment is in cash.... The entrance to the property is encumbrance boxes, bags, bicycle. The room is clean even if it overlooks the main street and early in the morning you can hear the sounds of trucks cleaning roads, cars, etc.
Breakfast is served at the bar- pastry shop next to the property, also owned by Mrs. Cecilia. Breakfast consists of coffee/cappuccino/milk plus croissants from which there is a wide choice. When asked for a juice we are told that it is not included, so it must be paid.
Stay good, but for the same amount paid in black you can find better.

Sardinian hospitality plus

This was our first B & B in an eight week stay in Italy and Cecilia set a high standard.
We were travelling around Sardinia by bus, the B & B was not too far from the bus station, Tortoli is flat so it wasn't a hard walk. Cecilia, however, insisted on collecting us in her car. From the beginning she went out of her way to make us welcome and to ensure our comfort and enjoyment of Tortoli and the other parts of the province we planned to visit. She phoned the Tourist Office so that we could speak to someone in English and then call in to book our Trenino Verde excursion. She gave us recommendations for gelato and for an excellent restaurant which we would not otherwise have found as it was away from the main street. There we ate one of our best seafood meals in Sardinia.
Our room was clean, bright and comfortable, with a few Sardinian decorative textiles. We overlooked the street and enjoyed watching the passegiata. Even though it was a weekend, we weren't bothered by noise as AC, shutters and double glazing kept the room cool and quiet, and the bed was comfortable.
Breakfast was plentiful with yoghurt, fruit, bread, coffee, homemade jams, cake and pastries including some delicious Sardinian specialties.
Cecilia was friendly and helpful to all of her guests as they talked about plans for the day. So that we could visit the beach she was happy for us to leave our bags after check out and collect them before our afternoon bus.
A warm and friendly personality, personal touches in the decor, pride in offering fresh homemade dolci - Cecilia is a great B & B host. With hospitality like that, language barriers disappear.

friendly and beautiful

Without any plan where to go to, we stopped at Tortoli. There the very nice and helpful people at the turist information point reccomended us to stay at Cecilia's B&B. The place was very beautiful, clean, and comfortable and Cecilia, the hostess, was very sympathic and welcoming. We had a great stay at the very calm place at Piazza Bernabè in a beautiful room with an amazing bathroom.
Thanks a lot to Cecilia, definetely a great place to stay in Tortoli!

Family run B&B directly in town center at the main street

Well there are always positive and negative aspects of a place to stay. Also in this case. What you don't notice on the pictures on first glance is that it is actually directly at the busy main street of the town and that it is not a new but nicely renovated but old building. We had one of the rooms facing to the street on the first floor with a tiny balcony and an own bathroom. Everything was clean and in good shape. The owners are very friendly and serve the breakfast inthe kitchen downstairs. There is also a veranda in the backyard but it was not prepared yet. So far so good. The backside of the central location is the noise. Although the windows isolate quite well you will hear the noise from the street during the night and especially in the morning. Fresh air by opening the balcony door means having the traffic noise inside the room. As the house isn't new, you might hear several others sounds in our case also from our active neighbors. On the other hand if you step outside the door you will find several smalls stores gelaterias restaurants nearby. So decide yourself about the Pros and Cons. Our decision after one night was to move to a less centrally located but more quiet place.
