It could be cleaner under the beds and some bathrooms had mold in the shower.
Also sometimes the AC is not able to cool down the room temperature.
We will stay again at this hotel in our next vacation.

PAPER FOUR-STAR, REAL-LIFE WRECK – 1/5
Hotel Diamante isn’t “a bit tired” or “mid-renovation”. It feels run-down and grubby in a way that suggests the whole place should have been shut for a proper strip-out, deep clean, and rebuild long ago. Sleeping in the room is possible, but the wider complex kills any sense of confidence.
LOCATION – 1/5
Industrial sprawl, logistics sheds, and road infrastructure dominate the view. Fine for a one-night pit stop if you’re just passing through, but there’s nothing remotely “relaxing” about the setting, and it does the hotel no favours when the basics on-site aren’t nailed.
ARRIVAL & PARKING – 1/5
The underground car park is not simply “closed”. It looks dodgy and, frankly, unsafe. The vibe is “do not go anywhere near this”, not “temporary inconvenience”. Even if the intention is maintenance, the visual reality is a proper shambles and it drags the entire experience down before you’ve even got to reception. The outdoor parking ends up being the default, and the whole arrival flow feels unmanaged rather than professional.
CLEANLINESS & MAINTENANCE – 1/5
External areas and service zones look neglected. Rubbish, overflowing bins, and general mess show up where guests can see them. That’s not a design choice, it’s basic upkeep failing. Once that trust goes, everything else starts to feel suspect, even if the bed linen itself looks clean.
PROMISE VS REALITY – 1/5
EV charging is a no-show. Simple as that: it’s either there or it isn’t, and it isn’t. The “pool” situation is also misleading in practice: any water facilities belong to the paid Bellavita sports/wellness bit next door, not the hotel as a straightforward included amenity. A cinema exists in the wider complex, but that’s just neighbouring infrastructure — it doesn’t fix a hotel that can’t deliver the basics it implies.
PUBLIC AREAS – 2/5
Reception and corridors look superficially presentable, but the atmosphere is dead and clinical. It feels less like a functioning hotel and more like an abandoned business complex that happens to have a front desk still operating.
ROOM – 2/5
The room photographs “okay” at first glance, but it’s austere and worn once you’re actually in it. One detail says it all: the TV is wall-mounted with cables dangling visibly down the wall. That’s not “character”; that’s lazy finishing and a dead giveaway that nobody’s sweating the details. The space does the bare minimum and nothing more.
BATHROOM – 4/5
The bathroom is the one part that looks genuinely updated and properly clean. Modern tiles, decent shower setup, and generally the only area that feels like it matches a newer standard. Sadly, one good bathroom can’t rescue a place where the wider condition is this grim.
VALUE FOR MONEY – 1/5
Price doesn’t matter much when core expectations aren’t met. Basic trust factors — cleanliness outside the room, credible maintenance, honest amenity expectations, and a safe-feeling arrival — simply aren’t there.
VERDICT – 1/5
Hard pass. Even for a motorway stopover, better options will exist at similar money. The room and bathroom can get you through a night, but the overall state of the place — especially the parking/underground areas and external upkeep — makes it a hotel I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

We were greeted by an obnoxious manager, due to a room problem.
Furthermore, I found a cockroach in my room!!

OK for a road trip overnight
It's OK for a road trip overnight, relatively close to the highway and in the evening when the spa centre is closed there are enough parking spaces in front of the house. During the day when the spa is open, it can be difficult to find a free parking space, but for a fee (10 €) you can also park in the underground parking lot.
Friendly service and relatively clean rooms. The windows have good sound insulation and the street noise is not heard in the room, but voices from the corridor could be heard well into the room.
The dinner restaurant is OK, but the food we tried was mediocre.
We ordered two different chicken dishes and one pork loin. The chicken fillet was very dry in both versions, the pork was good.
The breakfast has all the basic meals, but everything is of very basic quality. Juices and water can only be obtained from a special machine and they taste horrible (probably made from powder) and even the water had a strange taste.
Coffee is available from the machine, but Americano is made from instant powder, if you want a normal Americano, then first select Esspresso (made from beans) and then add hot water.
I didn't visit the spa, but as I understand it, the pool advertised by the hotel is actually a water park pool and its use is for a separate fee.
The air conditioning cannot be turned off, you can only adjust the temperature.
Free drinking water is not provided.
There is a desk, but no chair.
There is no kettle in the room.
The sink faucet did not have an aerator and because of this the water jet was very uneven and splashed to the sides.
We asked for a quieter room further from the elevator, we got the first room next to the elevator and the cleaning staff's room. The cleaning staff started making noise and talking loudly very early in the morning.
There is no WiFi connection to the internet, there is a WiFi network, but it is the hotel's internal network without an external connection. Thinking you're getting a regular internet connection, you log in to the WiFi network (which requires you to provide all your personal information), but no internet connection is established. In addition, I now started receiving their newsletters, with a message that I have registered to receive their newsletters and without the option to cancel this newsletter subscription.
