A beautiful hotel in a special setting.
The Sole di Ranco is one of those timeless places; it is not a modern location, but it retains its own charm that comes from an uncommon harmony and attention to detail, undoubtedly favored by the natural context in which it is located, but profoundly supported by those who manage the structure.
Very pleasant outdoor spaces with a view of the lake, abundant and excellent breakfast, stunning glass room, attentive and kind service. The rooms are spacious, and those with a corner lake view truly satisfy the desire for peace and nature.
It is certainly not something one can afford every day, but when one decides to do so, it is one of those places that is worth the money spent for its uniqueness.

Excellent stay
Excellent family stay.
A pleasant, quiet location with large rooms overlooking the lake.
Beautiful infinity pool.
Excellent dinners on the terrace where each evening the dishes are carefully prepared.
Very good breakfasts served at the table on the terrace as well.
All the staff are very attentive and extremely kind.
A very nice place that we will not hesitate to recommend.

A visit to Lake Maggiore
A comfortable hotel in an incomparable setting. Luciano could not have been more helpful in arranging a car to pick us up at the train station and a car to take us to the airport. He suggested activities for us and found us a table for lunch on the terrace at the last minute . We loved our visit and hope to return soon.

Room cleaning to review
We stayed one night in this hotel, total disappointment, arrived late around 11pm after a long trip, we hoped to stay well, but we noticed that the room had not been cleaned very well, we found tufts of hair twisted to the lamp wire, a spider web in the upper corner of the ceiling, a pin under the table that could also injure my foot, in the shower base accumulated a lot of water and you risked falling this 'because the filter in my opinion was not well cleaned, the old TV probably from 2010 and malfunctioning. In the morning we hoped to have a hearty breakfast and instead of finding the table laid out as in the photos on the site, we find on the table a small basket with 1 large croissant and 2 mini, 3 pieces of bread and 2 slices of dry cake, a bottle of cranberry juice each, we are told that if we wanted you could have eggs and bacon, but personally I do not like in the morning eating salty I prefer sweet, finally the glass with fruit salad with frozen fruit and without a minimum of juice, honestly I expected better given the cost of 190 euros per night. The experience and 'was negative thank you for leaving me the room 2 hours more than the checkout of 12, unfortunately the appointments I had were prolonged, however the room I could also free it in the morning since in the end I did not use anything even the pool space, and' I was told that the room for this reason and' remained unsold, I doubt seen the few people in the hotel and anyway I had asked in advance if I could have a late checkout, if it was not possible I vacated the room immediately. I suggest to take feedback in a positive way you never stop learning even if you have been managing a structure for many years, for late check out I almost have to pay for the room an extra day instead for the disservice no refund. C'est la vie

Great restaurant. Good wine list. Beautiful Lake View
Good restaurant with beautiful views of Lake Maggiore, if you eat in the garden. Starter and main course. Excellent wash with breading as the cutlet alla milanse. Good wine list with not excessive prices. Good service. Well worth a stop if you're in the area.
