A true paradise......
This really is the most perfect hotel if you are seeking peace, quiet, good and imaginative wine, excellent food, quiet, embedded style, the simple but exquisite (the gardens were heavily and heavenly scented with genista, jasmine and cascades of roses when we visited and the lanes without abundant with the most extraordinary diversity of wild flowers) and unobtrusive charming service. Classically romantic.
I see others have commented on the rough lane leading to Susafa but this is its secret weapon; this gentle challenge helps protect this truly magical place.
If you feel like adventuring there are really wonderfully unsullied-by-mass tourism places to visit from Enna to Polizzi Generosa, birthplace of Italian novelist Borghese.
Very, very special.
And would highly recommend reading Paul Robb's "Midnight in Sicily" before a visit to really appreciate what Manfredi, the elegant owner, his family and team plus all Sicilians have achieved on this island in recent years after a very difficult time. There is hope!

An oasis in Sicilian Countryside.
We didn't want to leave. What an oasis in Sicilian country side. Even though we had just one night there we left relaxed. Would love to go back another time and spend time walking, reading by pool, taking cooking classes. The grounds are incredible.
