Updated Hotel
We had a very good stay at the Four Points Flex by Sheraton Parma. The hotel has been recently renovated, and the updated rooms are lovely. While the outside look upon arrival can be a bit deceiving, the inside has been beautifully refreshed. My only critique is that they need better, more viewable signage from the street, as it can be a little tricky to spot.
The service, however, was excellent. Martina at the front desk was incredibly helpful and professional. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a very good variety of options to start the day.
With great parking and comfortable, modern rooms, we would definitely stay here again!

An overall decent experience, but below expectations for a hotel of this category.
The first stay was from August 12 to 14. We had booked through the app and were assigned a room on the third floor. Upon our arrival, we noticed a not particularly pleasant smell in the room. We decided not to make too much of it, however, considering that we would spend mostly just the time necessary for sleeping at the hotel.
The evening before our first check-out, we decided to return to the same property for a second stay, from August 19 to 21. We went directly to the reception to find out about availability and rates; since we were not offered the most affordable rate available online, we made the new reservation through the app, a channel we had already used for the first stay.
Among the aspects that made us choose this property was the possibility of using the on-site parking, which was very convenient for us. In this regard, we would like to acknowledge very positive behavior from the reception: we were allowed to leave our car in the hotel parking lot at no cost during the period we traveled abroad. It was a demonstration of helpfulness that we greatly appreciated and that we feel it is our duty to report.
We arrived for our second stay late in the evening, after landing in Milan and having dinner. We were assigned a room on the ground floor, next to the area with the outdoor lounge sofas where guests stop to chat. The location itself did not cause us any particular problems.
The first difficulty arose because, due to an error on our part in the booking, we had indicated a double room instead of a queen/king room. We asked the reception if it was possible to make a change as soon as we realized the error. The receptionist told us that there were five other rooms available, but that it was not possible to change our room, without, however, providing us with an explanation that would allow us to understand the reason.
Only later, upon entering the room, did we realize that we had been assigned an accessible room, which we had not requested (we specify that the request for a change had been made even before we noticed the room's features). The bathroom had features that were less practical for us: the absence of a bidet, the presence of a handheld showerhead, and a lack of counter space. Furthermore, the shower door, opening outward, dragged the mat placed in front of it, creating the risk of dripping on the floor when exiting.
The provision of small comforts also seemed essential to us. During our first stay, we had found at least a pair of slippers, while during the second, they were completely missing. Upon our request at the reception, we were informed, after a wait, that they were not available due to a lack of restocking. However, the toiletries (soap, body wash, etc.) were present, which we found to be of excellent quality.
We perfectly understand that the error regarding the bed type was ours and that the hotel was not required to grant us a change. However, knowing that there were other vacant rooms, we would have appreciated a clearer explanation. We have no evidence to evaluate whether the room management was influenced by the booking channel; however, we note that the second stay left us with a decidedly less positive feeling compared to the first.
Overall, we assign a score of 5/10. We consider the property decent and appreciated its location, the convenience of the parking, the courtesy regarding the parked car, and the quality of the bath products. However, for a hotel of this category, we would have expected more attention to detail and more attentive and flexible guest management.
