Clean room. It was ready even before 16pm. They were very helpfull and thoughtfull in any need. Luggage storage available. At checkout (ofcourse not always possible) we could have the room till the time we wanted. And if that is possible they are really ok with that. Contact was very good, always someone available. Sofa bed was really comfortable, same as the big bed. Walking distance from everything and really close to the train station. Pleasant stay!!

The apartment itself was mostly fine, nothing special. There is no air conditioning in the bedroom which was not ideal in July. It was also extremely difficult to open the apartment door. You also cannot cook and have the air conditioning on without the electric tripping which was frustrating. I was disappointed that I had to message 3 times on WhatsApp and ask hotels.com to intervene in relation to check in. I couldn’t get an answer for 3 days.

Apartment 8.1: Stunning views, but marred by numerous flaws
Pros:
The apartment is in an excellent location, only about a 5-minute walk from the main station. The building itself is beautiful and renovated. The terrace is the apartment's greatest asset—very spacious, a corner layout, and offering breathtaking views. We weren't disturbed by any street noise. The place is relatively spacious and clean. Both rooms have air conditioning that also works for heating. Amenities include a washing machine, microwave, a kitchen area with an oven, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The Wi-Fi is quite fast, and the TV is large enough with plenty of channels; you can also connect your own device via HDMI. The interior design is modern and tasteful.
Cons:
Check-in is scheduled from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The host sends a rule stating that a "customer care" person will meet you to handle all formalities, noting a €30 fee for late check-in after 8:00 PM. My contact person was Lisa, who was supposed to meet us at the reception shortly after 5:00 PM. However, after landing at Palermo airport, I received a message saying she had other duties and I had to do a self-check-in. This involved sending personal data and paying the local city tax via a payment gateway. Only then did she send the codes for the main entrance and the key lockbox. I honestly don't understand if they charge €30 just for WhatsApp communication, and frankly, I feel I should be the one asking for a refund. I find this approach quite bold.
In another message from Fabian, I was informed of a requirement to take the trash to the bins in the courtyard daily. Given the amount of ants crawling throughout the apartment—including the bed—I understand the precaution, but they should address the ant infestation itself instead. Furthermore, we were provided with only one trash bag for a 6-night stay; to follow their rule, I would have had to buy more at my own expense.
Another issue in the kitchen was the poorly angled drain hose under the sink, causing it to drain very slowly. The "highlight" was a foul-smelling microfiber cloth left behind by a previous guest (or perhaps there much longer). The kitchenware is sparse; for instance, a cutting board is missing. Fabian also told me there was a DeLonghi capsule machine, but it is actually a Krups, so the capsules we bought in advance were useless.
The apartment critically lacks storage space. In the bathroom, there is nowhere to put toiletries in the shower and very little space by the sink. There is a walk-in closet area in the bedroom, but instead of shelves, there is only a rolling garment rack for a few items.
In the open-plan living area, there is a sofa bed. The upholstered back was covered in grime marks and mysterious red stains—I’d rather not know what they were. As a bed for two people, this sofa is completely unusable. The backrest area slopes downward, and once unfolded, a large gap is created. The opposite side is flimsy and lacks support, making it impossible to sleep anywhere but the very center. Lastly, we were only provided with 2 rolls of toilet paper for 3 people for 6 nights. It's worth noting there is a "1 Euro" shop right downstairs where they could easily buy all these small items that are currently ruining the impression.
Conclusion:
I would recommend Apartment 8.1 for 2 people maximum, as the terrace is a huge plus. However, at €200 per night, it is quite overpriced considering the service and flaws.

Very close to the central rail station. Bed linens were not the cleanest. We didn’t use the oven, but it contained lots of crumbs. Door locks seemed very secure. Too bad we had damp weather because our patio on the eighth floor was great.

Very comfortable bed. Location is great. There were not any hot pads or dish towels dish towels. I didn’t get an answer about drinking water until day 3 of our visit. There was one wine glass and the oven was dirty
