Autumn in Barbagia

We stayed in this hotel two nights for the Autumn event in Barbagia.
Greeted by Barbara and Nicolina who, made us feel at home immediately. All the staff is very kind and helpful, you breathe an air of great harmony that involves. The room was adequate to our needs, having with us a poodle. Really comfortable, spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the Supramonte and well cleaned. Breakfast is good, Italian style consisting of homemade cakes, biscuits, rusks with butter and jams, and a juice, homemade yogurt, as well as tea, milk, cappuccino, and coffee. The hearty dinner is you feel the freshness and typicality of the traditional Orgolese cuisine, what they were looking for and with a pleasant surprise about the pizzeria: good, leavened very well and with a note of merit for Viviana a sweet girl, attentive and very professional. A super recommended property. Thank you ❤️ they had a great time. Recommended throughout.

Good hotel, interesting town

On the advice of a Sardinian friend, we decided to make a stop in Orgosolo on our way to Porto Torres to take the car ferry back to mainland Italy. We (two couples) arrived on a very rainy, chilly afternoon and chanced by the Albergo SA E Jana. The reception area was empty when we entered and after calling several "ciao's" and "buon giorno's", someone came to the front desk. We were checked in by an older very friendly lady and given spacious, clean comfortable rooms. We later learned that the very good art work in the lobby was done by her and her husband. Although their English was very limited, we were able to communicate somewhat in Spanish with this delightful couple. Orgosolo has a longstanding history of anti-establishment culture which is reflected by its' outstanding murals and grafitti art on it's walls and buildings. This ranks as one of the most interesting towns we visited during our 3 1/2 week drive through Puglia, Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia.

Good friendly service and fantastic food

Angelo and Egidio are the two brothers who run the hotel and restaurant. They are very passionate about their town and culture and can help you plan day trips to learn about the agriculture and lifestyle of the people from Orgosolo. Its best to get some advice as the residents in the area are not always comfortable with tourists. If you eat in the lunch restaurant make sure you try the lamb with lemon ( agnello con limone), coulougiones (similar to giant ravioli with cheese) and cinghiale ( wild boar). Otherwise Egidio also does a great pizza in the down stairs restaurant which opens in the evenings.

Very good location
