Great location, lovely hosts, comfortable accomodations!

Enjoyed our stay in VM. Our group of 10 were family and friends. Each couple had a private bathroom in a truly Tuscan villa overlooking gorgeous views of Tuscany. Agostino and Frederica accommodated all our needs. We learned plein air painting from accomplished painter Agostino Veroni and Italian cooking from a private chef, his wife, Frederica, provided. The Italian interpreter, Julia, was like a member of their family. We, too, felt they had embraced us as family! Great location close to Vinci - Leonardo's home, and other quaint Italian villages. I would highly recommend Villa Minghetti for your Tuscan experience!

Lovely old villa-In need of a little TLC

Villa Minghetti is a beautiful old house in a wonderful position on a hillside overlooking Lamporecchio. Six bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms make it excellent for a large family gathering. The pool is great for kids and adults and the house was very clean. The downsides were the kitchen which was cramped, no cupboard space for food, no kettle and no tin opener! The beautiful view from the garden and pool was obscured by trees and bushes which needed cutting back and we found ourselves very badly bitten by mosquitoes! (The mosquito netting on the windows didn't fit and had holes in!)
Lamporecchio has an excellent supermarket, cafes and ice cream places and San Baronto (up the hill from the house) had lovely restaurants with amazing views.
All in all we had a lovely time.Federica is very helpful and charming. We just think that the house needs a little updating to make it a perfect place to stay.

A place to stay for a while

If you don't like to be constantly on the go when you travel, but prefer to stay in one place to absorb the lifestyle of the Italian residents who live in a small Tuscan town, then Villa Minghetti situated on an olive farm might be the place for you. It is midway between Pisa and Florence. Although not 5-star, it is clean and cozy with enough of the comforts of home. The old house has been upgraded to modern standards. I stayed here two years in a row. Both times my party rented the whole villa, which was a lot of fun. It is so very "Under the Tuscan Sun." Make your arrangements directly with the charming owner Federica. She speaks English and will go out of her way to be helpful for a most enjoyable stay. To get there, you will need a car.

Vistas impresionantes

El lugar donde está situado la villa es espectacular. Y la casa tiene encanto, las instalaciones son buenas a excepción de la cocina que necesita una reforma. Sitio ideal para unas vacaciones con amigos y niños/adolescentes. Muy bien situado para poder hacer turismo por la zona y la vez descansar.

Wunderschöne Villa aus dem 18. Jahrhundert mit tlw. original Möbeln aus der Zeit- 6 Schlafzimmer, jedes mit eigenem Bad, viel Terracotta, sehr sehr sauber!
Mit Allem ausgestattet inkl. eigener Waschküche!
Auf Mlülltrennung wird großen Wert gelegt!
Nette Vermieterin!
