Not recommended
Got the room with no drinking water after a long trip, food is average at best, room is falling apart (the bathroom door got stuck in locked so we had to call the maintenance guy), air conditioners are louder than Boeing jets, the rooms are maintained at a functional level only (and this as well is a compliment - no hot water to make coffee on Saturday)
Thee only positive (which has nothing to do with the hotel - is the location. A walking distance from the underwater observatory and the nature reserve).
I would stay away unless being close the the reef is your Main priority…

A zero rating
At 4/8/2026 i was planning to go to sharm and i planned to stay a night at orchide to get rest a night before traveling to sharm
I have to mention that i were telling my family how great is orchide
And i checked at booking and found two siam rooms .
I arrived to hotel at 23:00 and checked in
When i arrived too rooms i found long hair on the ground and the rooms seemed not clean
I told my self its one night and tomorrow morning we are leaving
Even beds were not clean
We took to siam rooms with sea view ... and at morning i look from the terrace it was kitchen view with a very little sea view
We went to breakfast that was acceptable but not as good as it was at past

If it were possible to give zero stars – that is exactly the score I would give the Hotel Orchidea Eilat.
We stayed at the Hotel Orchidea Eilat on the dates 31.7.26–4.8.26, but we left early and gave up a night we already paid for, simply because we didn’t want to stay at the hotel anymore.
We paid almost NIS 10,000 for three nights, no dinner, and expected a delightful vacation.
We booked a Shangri-La room, but when we entered we found a small room, dusty, with dirty toilets and a heavy unpleasant smell. The shower area was full of mold spots, until we didn't feel that we could take a shower in it. We immediately went down for reception and was offered to move to a Shangri-La villa with a private pool, for a high fee.
Unfortunately, the villa too was far from justifying the price: sand on the floor, ripped and dirty curtains, sloping rails from the ceiling and a neglected bathroom with a very small shower.
The breakfast was very disappointing: a small, crowded dining room, scarce selection and messy serving positions. The cheese and fish area smelled sharp and unpleasant. The stallion was set outside, without melting, with one worker trying to serve dozens of guests in the heat.
Both the lobby and the cabana had a strong smell of moisture and rotten wood. The villas are located up the mountain and therefore hanging in the tattook to get to the dining room, the pool and exit from the hotel, but often the waiting was long and we had to walk in the heat of more than 40 degrees.
The record came the day before departure, when at 12:00 there was a power outage throughout the hotel. There were no air conditioning, Wi-Fi or phones, and there was virtually no cellular reception in the villa area. Only after we walked down for reception we were told that it was a scheduled break for the replacement of the shuttle.
When we asked to talk to the hotel manager, we at least expected her to listen, apologize and try to help. Unfortunately, we felt that we were not listening, not taking responsibility and there was no real desire to find a solution.
The hotel has a beautiful view and great potential, but it cannot compensate for poor cleaning and maintenance, disappointing service and an unimaginable gap between price and exchange.
