Quite nice for three nights, not as bad as reviews sound

Not as bad as the reviews, I expected worse but quite nice actually for 3 nights stay. Can walk from station in 20 mins or to Salthill. Tesco about a 4 min walk towards town and Petrol station across st for snacks. Exact 20 min walk to station as I had to meet their daily for tours, or 10 mins to Spanish Arch and tourist centre. Beer garden in rear for easier access towards town then coming in the front door thru the pub. Pub is used by mostly older crowd but was not noisy. No music night during my stay.
Sink is in room not bathroom and water bottle provided daily. Other rooms did not have own bathroom. Was cheaper to book directly on their website than thru booking sites. The carpet was quite thick for the room and bathroom doors to open. TV has BBC RTE Virgin. The boiler motor makes a loud noise when somebody showers but not more than 5 minutes. Shower was good and bed was fine. Room sink has two taps for hot/cold british style. Lots of satellite antennas on roof. Comfortable stay for three nights.

We spent one night at this hotel; the rooms are really small, and so are the beds—they’re more suited for one person than two. There’s a nice pub right below the hotel, but the sound of barrels being stacked at midnight disturbs the night. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of dishes, and everything was fresh.

Hotel in its juice

Old hotel in its juice. Expensive for the proposed hotel service, requires a substantial renovation. (Not suspected in the photographs on the website)
Pros: easy parking on the street, proximity to the city center on foot, breakfast

He's taking advantage of his location but run away.

I rarely criticize, but here we are close to unhealthy. 165 euros for that is a shame. It was very dirty, a humidity level verging on rain in the room ....the joints of the bathroom were black, the air was entering through a window, the carpet was dirty and I remain polite in my evaluation.

It's a NO from me

Oh my God, it's definitely a No. The room was so outdated. Mattress is of poor quality, wouldn't swing cat in loo/ shower, rooms smell like an old folks home. Very, very poor all round.
Wardrobe is leaning to one side, toilet door hard to open. NO
