Awesome experience!

Top notch establishment. Everyone was so kind. Views from the backside of the property are absolutely breathtaking. Cows on property were friendly and sweet. Beautiful place and looking forward to returning in the future.

2 star claiming to be 4

Simply put, this hotel is a disaster of a place with a premium price stag.
It may be a wedding venue, possibly a 2 star hotel or a public swimming pool and gym, but not a 4 star hotel. 4 star claim is either false or a brown envelope to the star allocation board.
The rooms are horrible for approx 350 a night price tag. There are hostels more comfortable for a fraction of the price. The place is ancient and run down to the core, covered in decades of gunk. There are a couple of newer rooms advertised at the same tier, but the odds of getting one of those are slim. Our request for a newer room ahead of time in the booking was ignored and when brought up at the reception the response was "Sorry, we're fully booked". The room had small uncomfortable beds and pillows and no baby cot was offered. There was no safe box, old and tiny TV, small and mouldy bath that you would find in the 60s houses. View of an unmaintained field with cows which is not an issue as such but through a filthy window unwashed for months.
Pool area is small and old, 10-12 people fill it up, same goes for the gym and both allow public access ontop of hotel guests.
Breakfast is decent but not flawless, can take 5 min to get seated at a time when there are more staff than guests in the restaurant just roaming around looking at you, but the one responsible for seating is somewhere else.
We stayed for 3 nights and left feeling scammed out of 1100. This hotel is one of the worst if not the worst price to quality hotels we've ever stayed at. Most definitely would not return.

Excellent Hotel

The Skellig is a fabulous hotel. It was my third visit for my father's 86th birthday and we had a great time. The staff are kind, understanding and very personable. And the food was excellent. It's only a short walk into Dingle itself which is magical and full of life and live music. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Amazing stay amazing staff

An amazing second stay at the Dingje Skellig. We visited two years ago with our family of 6 and came back with our family of 7 last week. The hotel is immaculate and the service is impeccable. The manager Sheila was very responsive with emails and questions we had with traveling with a baby and provided everything needed. They even have a laundry service for guests at no charge education cane in handy for the baby items. The breakfast which is included is also top notch. The beautiful town of dingle is so close by and my view of the cows and sheep from my room were amazing. Also grim the hotel a lovely walk to an old castle is great. Definitely stay here it’s just lovely and staff even lovelier.
