Wedding trip

Absolutely lovely time at Moate Lodge run by Mary and Raymond. Super hospitality from them with comfy, big rooms and a delicious homemade breakfast served every morning. Historical house in a beautiful location. Would recommend!

Wonderful accommodation

We had a perfect overnight stay with Mary and her husband Raymond. The B&B is beautifully furnished and we felt very comfortable from the first moment.
We would especially like to highlight the excellent breakfast. Mary baked fresh scones especially for us – and they were without a doubt the best scones I have ever eaten.
The warm hospitality, the lovely details, and the pleasant atmosphere made our stay something very special. We would come back anytime and can recommend this B&B without reservation.

Classic Irish hospitality

Really nice people made me very welcome at this comfortable and quiet B&B. There's a classic Irish feel about the place; not at all flash and modern but really homely. Fine breakfast, albeit not quite up to the classic Ulster Fry :)
Be cautious, the R418 runs on both sides of Athy and my GPS took me to the wrong side of the town. Moate Lodge is on the north side; keep your eyes peeled and you'll see the signs. Ardscull crossroads is close by so navigate by that, if necessary.

Lovely farm house b and b

Staying here was like being invited into a warm and welcoming home. Raymond and Mary were full of information about the house (which has been in Raymond’s family since the 1800s) and Mary is an excellent cook and shared her delicious scone recipe with us. We highly recommend Moate Lodge all traveling in Ireland.

Cracking. B n B

We arrived early which was no trouble to our hostess mary was brilliant even cooked us a breakfast owing to our early departure from home, showed us to our room offered to arrange taxis and did ,beds were so comfortable linen and
entire house impeccably clean the farm buildings were a lovely ramble prior to breakfast I honestly haven't had a lady and her husband look after us as well ever couldn't recommend enough
