Yogya Retreat
Booked 2 rooms (Deluxe River & Garden with Bathtub for my husband and I, and Deluxe Mangklung with Bathtub for my dad). The rooms located in different area, which the Deluxe River & Garden with Bathtub is more secluded and gave more privacy, while the Deluxe Mangklung with Bathtub had the perfect surrounding area with fishpond on the terrace.
We as well had dinner at Djiwana and ordered room service, and all the dishses tasted good. The breakfast served in buffet and had various options from the local to sushi, and all tasted good as well.
The pathwalk as well very nice to have a walk in the evening and in the morning after swimming.
Notable mention to Khairul, the Resort Representative, provided outstanding hospitality since even before the stay that helped our stay became more pleasant.
Had a pleasant escape here with my husband and dad.

Our inforgettable experience
I booked 3 rooms in total - 30*,40*,40*. I am very dissapointed with how our day went during our stay. First of all, i imagine that this place is a place where you can enjoy and come back to nature. The moment we arrived the premises (receptionist), Wana Sekar was busy, there was a wedding event. We have never been told that there will be a wedding on the date that we booked.
After we finished the paperwork, we were served with welcome drinks and bakpias. When the drink were served, the waitress accidentally broke some of the glasses and spilled the drink. my children were sitting on the sofa, where the accident happened just in front of our eyes. I think it was quite dangerous and unprofessional for" i dont know so called 5 star" resort.
Next, i will be discussing about the wedding event, i was told that we cant do tracking this evening as there is a wedding. Okay, i thought myself its fine, we still can swim. Little that i know, because of the wedding event venue was around the POOL, we apparently not allowed to swim. Sighhh... We were so dissapointed with our stay. We only able to stay in the room or may be just go to the restaurant in thr resort. Its really hard to enjoy as its quite noisy before, during and after the party. My innitially plan to enjoy the trickling sound of water is vanished. We decided to go out and have dinner outside.
Moreover, one of our room, 40*, the room was quite stuffy, with some ancient smell. I am not sure why this happen, but the one staying in the room is allergic to dust. The balcony was also quite dirty, with cleaning sponge, pink colour, still in the balcony!
Another complaint is about conditioner that apparently never been offered to certain "basic room" ( i just realised after i ask one of the staff that was around our room). I think this is very ridiculous. How can a room which valued 2,650,000 rupiah a night, doesnot provide conditioner. And please note that room 401-403 is facing fish and shrimp farm by villagers (tambak ikan). It is not as advertised.
Lastly, the room sandal is not 1 pair of left n right but a pair of both left. Again, i have to make a complaint again to the reception.
All in all, i am not happy with my stay and i want some compensation for my time and monetary wasted. It seems the staffs are lacking of training in all aspects (like handling complaints and some are clumsy).
To put in in 1 sentence, it is very easy to review that this is the worse resort that i have ever stayed in Indonesia. Compared to the neighbour hotel, lets say, Hyatt Yogjakarta, this is far far from it. Let alone compare it to, garrya bianti/ plataran/ padma/ amanjiwo.
One of the lift, is not proper for human, it seems lift for goods with no brand which i am sceptical of the safety.

A very beautiful place that is worth the detour.
This extraordinary resort is located in a green oasis (4 hectares) in the heart of the city, by a river. One can spend the day in peace; the place is very beautiful with an infinity pool, antiques, buildings, and outdoor lounges to relax. Moreover, each room benefits from an outdoor space. However, the breakfast is rather disappointing; some dishes are good, even excellent (notably the soups, rawon, soto ayam, etc.), while other products are not always fresh. The organization needs to be reviewed; the servers must fetch hot drinks from the restaurant located near the reception. Finally, the sliding door of our room did not guarantee total privacy. In short, there are still small things to review for it to be perfect.
