Great stay in Malang and amazing activities!
We joined their 3 days / 2 nights trip to Tumpak Sewu, Mount Ijen, and Mount Bromo, and everything from start to finish was perfectly organized. The whole experience felt super smooth and stress-free, which made the trip even more enjoyable. It was so nice to simply relax and let the team take care of everything.
The hostel was also great, very clean, comfortable, and perfect base before the big trip. The activities themselves were amazing, the landscapes unforgettable, and the guides were absolutely incredible throughout the journey.
Special thanks to Nadya and her whole team, who were so kind, friendly, and attentive during the entire trip. Everyone was truly caring and made this adventure even more special.
An unforgettable experience in Java that we would 100% recommend!

A peaceful, sociable experience
Most travelers go out hiking during the day but different tour groups take people out at different times so we had the 8 bed dorm to ourselves most of the time.
They offer a variety of tours to see Mount Ijen, Mount Bromo, Tempak Sewu and a few other nearby waterfalls at a great price! I recommend using their tours even if you don’t end up staying there.

Highly recommended to stay at Hostel Semeru
The bedroom is a dormitory type (one room contains 8-12 beds), very clean and doesn't feel damp. Don't forget that the bathroom is also clean.
There is a hangout room at the back of the house where we can drink coffee while breathing in the fresh air of Malang.
Apart from that, Mas Eko, who is responsible for house cleaning and reception, is very friendly and has lots of stories about Malang and historical buildings.

Homey backpacker in Malang
You can imagine, just pay around 70.000 rupiah/ person and this is not expensive for me.. I meet Nadya in there, and she help me for make schedule holiday. I have been go to Tumpak Sewu waterfall and Bromo mountain..
I recommend for you guys for try this hostel..
