Tranquility and Peaceful

This is my wife’s 5th trip to Bali and my first, she wanted something quiet and away from nightclubs and the rat race.
We chose Ubud in the hills and Way Ubud House villa for our accommodation.
The owners, Petr and Suzzana live in one villa and the pool area is shared by two rooms.
It is slightly remote but local drivers are cheap and you can hire per trip or by the day.
I enjoyed just walking the back streets and talking to locals, those that had some English.
Each day you are served breakfast by Wyan, and while you are out exploring, the rooms are cleaned and beds made. Or you can lounge around the pool and read a book or use the free wifi.
Each unit has an outside under cover kitchen with gas cook top, fridge and sink.
For me a holiday is not about the best 5 star hotels, it’s is about getting close to the locals and learning about their culture. Way Ubud house has this, it is quiet but close to that culture, outside the villa walls the kids playing in the alley, the roosters crowing in the morning the smell of incense from morning Hindu offerings, this is the real Bali for.
A quick trip by driver takes you to Ubud Centre and the busy stalls, markets, restaurants and bars.
Welcome to Bali

Spent 1 Month at this AMAZING Place!

My boyfriend and I rented a villa here for 1 month and we were not disappointed. We wanted to find a place that was removed from the hustle and bustle of Ubud but close enough to get in for yoga, special meals, etc. We also wanted a place with a pool, breakfast included, hot shower, and good wifi. This place CERTAINLY delivered.
First off, the staff is all so incredibly friendly and really helped us feel at home. Wayan, the owner, has perfect English and was able to help with everything we needed around the villa and around Ubud. His suggestions were super valuable.
The breakfast was enough to fill us up each morning and they also are available to cook lunch or dinner upon request - which helped here and there when we were too lazy to cook... which brings me to my next point... We wanted a place with an outdoor kitchen as we love cooking.
This villa provides you with a fridge, stove-top, pots, plans, cutting board, knife, plates, utensils, etc. We were able to cook a huge variety of things with the equipment provided.
The scooter rentals available are great for a few days or a week (the scooter is very new and drives really well).
Lastly - the villas are all really new - the beds are large and comfortable, the rain shower is a nice touch, and everything is always super clean.
Honestly, 5 stars all around. WE LOVED THIS PLACE!

The place to be in Ubud!

The villa is beautiful and quiet, surrounded by green, it only has three rooms and we loved its relaxed atmosphere. Made gave us a great welcome and we felt like at home from the first moment. She and her staff Kadek were super friendly and always helpful. The room was really nice, clean and cozy. My girlfriend and I spent three nights there but we would have definitely stayed more. If you are looking for a quiet place, get a motorbike and in 10 minutes you can reach Ubud, or just spend the day chilling by the pool. We couldn't recommend a better place!

Amazing Place

We stayed in this villa 5 nights, it was difficult to find, but later we appreciate it, because it was so quiet, a bit far from the city center, the personal speak English very well, and was easy to communicate us, we came bit later and one of them make our dinner in less than 10 min , and was delicious! The best noodles I ate in Indonesia was from Kadek, he helped us to arrange our visit through Ubud with a Driver named Ketut he was a like friend. He was with us almost everyday and take us to the airport in the end of our travel in Bali.
Also you can get the motorbikes.
The room was really nice and comfy, you got everything you need, also a small kitchen if you want to cook something.
Overall I highly recommend this place to everyone.
Thanks again for everything.
Wayan Boss Alvaro and Kadek Luis :)

Absolutely outstanding

This little villa is a little way out of the centre but it is absolutely worth every minute for the wonderful experience that we had. When arriving, we were a little worried as it is down a load of side roads however when Marie, the owner, opened the gate we were overwhelmed. Immediately she asked us if we needed anything and within 5 minutes we had a scooter outside the gate. She made us welcome drinks and although she said her English wasn't very good, we thought she was excellent. The villa is absolutely beautiful in a really quiet location. The pool is gorgeous and gets the sun at certain points of the day. The room was perfect: air conditioned, mosquito net, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes, combs, four post bed, kitchen, a large bathroom with huge shower and hot water - the list is endless. The room was cleaned every day and even washing that was left on the floor, was dry cleaned when asked, for next to nothing. We went on the Mt.Batur climb at 2am and when we returned at 10am it was already cleaned and we text to have breakfast and Dek Sunda (the lady that basically ran the villa, was over within minutes cooking our order) She was so kind and friendly, answered all of our questions and was all round superb! You have the owner, Marie and Wayan's number who we could whatsapp for absolutely anything. We would text the time we would want breakfast (included) or lunch/evening meal and she would be around cooking it all. As there are only 3 rooms, at one point we had Dek Sunda cooking for us as we were the only room. It was like having our own personal chef and the food was local and delicious. It is crucial that you are willing to hire drivers (70,000rp into Ubud to use their driver) or confident to ride a scooter, as this means the locality is easily overcome. A full tank cost 30,000rp, and we used the scooter every day to explore the areas surrounding Ubud, which gives you a more personalised and exciting view of what the area has to offer. The scooter was only 70,000rp per day. An absolute gem of a villa and we would recommend. Would definitely go back ! Thank you so much to Dek Sunda, Marie and Wayan for such an unforgettable stay!
