Beautiful place, staff so friendly

Such a beautiful place. I would definitely recommend staying here. Me and my friend stayed for 4 nights and from the minute we got there we were made to feel so welcome. There is a small shop right next to the hotel which is very handy. The hotel is close to lots of restaurants and bars, shops etc. the centre of ubud is within walking distance and there’s so much to do at the footfall of the hotel. The staff were so friendly. It’s worth pointing out that there is no safe or fridge in the room, but the room was clean with working air conditioning and was great for our stay. As ubud terrace is a 5 minute walk from monkey forest there are some monkeys hanging around the hotel which we loved.

The worst I have known for early wake ups

Beautiful place, but being woken up at 6am everyday by cleaners is unacceptable. For this reason, i wouldn't recommend staying here.

Not worth the money and wouldn’t visit again

I’m not usually one to write reviews, especially negative ones however I feel like I need to let other people know of my experience. I’ll start by saying the staff here are polite and helpful, and the accommodation itself is beautifully aesthetic and it’s a very central location. I was in a deluxe suite and the bed was huge and comfortable with lots of pillows. However there were alot of downsides
1) the sheets were filthy, one stain even looked like blood. I had to ask them to replace the sheets and they did, however these sheets shouldn’t have been used in the first place
2) the pool wasn’t super clean, I’m unsure if I went in at a bad time, but I had to fish out and extremely dead frog and there were a lot of dead flies and leaves floating about
3) at random points through the day there would be no water as the pressure was so low
4) there were random signs and broken handles left in the draws in my room
5) to lock the room door, it was a huge padlock with a key which is a faff to deal with in the dark
6) there was about a one inch gap in the door when locked, that you could easily see through straight onto the bed. As a solo female traveller this wasn’t ideal so I had to stack my suitcase and bags infront of the door each night
7) the aircon was rubbish, luckily was fine for me however if you’re in the room in Balis hot season it will definitely be a sweat box
8) the bath had a big green (assuming limescale) stain in it where the water has dripped over time and not been cleaned
9) the mosquito net around the bed (which in principle is a nice added touch) had all sorts of yellow stains on it, dread to think what they are
I would not recommend this hotel, maybe if you needed a stopover for a night but I certainly would not stay here again

Poorly maintained and old

The place is old. Toilet and sink has stains. Shower head dirty. Coffee cups had stains as well. External lights were not working especially in the swimming pool at night. Manager was rather rude also when we complained to him. Location however was near restaurants and souvenir shops.

Great place, people and location

Lovely hotel just off the main Monkey Forest road. Rooms and bathrooms are huge, and has a great little pool. Often get the lovely monkeys in the grounds. Easy 5 minute walking distance to Monkey Forest, 10 minutes walk to Ubud Palace with loads of nice restaurants and bars just outside. Lovely place, lovely people, and great value for money.
