Bisma Eight's Hospitality is truly 10/10
We had a fantastic stay at Bisma Eight, staying in one of their one-bedroom villas at Bisma Eight Villas and would recommend it to anyone.
The villa resort is really well located just a few minutes walk from Monkey Forest Road, but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet - we called it our oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of the Ubud streets! Our villa was spotlessly clean, very spacious, with it's own private pool, gazebo and sun loungers. The minibar was well stocked and reasonably priced, plus there was a quality coffee machine and a good supply of teas. We had room service once from their all day menu, which was also very good. The bedroom was air-conditioned and spacious, with a balcony, plus a huge bathroom that included a large bath tub, separate shower etc. Everything you need.
You can also use the main hotel facilities, which is a few minutes walk, or they offer a courtesy car service between the resorts, which is good because the roads in Ubud do get busy and there's no pavement in places. If you are travelling with children or aren't confident navigating unfinished roads, we recommend using the car service.
The resort and hotel facilities are excellent quality, but what set it apart for us was the hospitality. Everyone, and we do mean everyone, we met at the resort was genuinely warm and friendly. They take great pride in making your stay as comfortable and special as they can. We've stayed at a lot of hotels and the warmth and hospitality at Bisma Eight is easily among the best we've ever had. We had breakfast included which was always excellent, plus we had dinner at Embers one evening, which was superb, and dinner another evening at Copper (located at the hotel). We would have liked to also try Mori, the Teppanyaki restaurant at the hotel, as that looked very good too, but we didn't have time.
We have to also give a very special mention to Liong, our driver. He collected us from the airport and we also booked through reception for him to take us out for a days site-seeing. We saw so much in just one day, thanks to his local knowledge, plus he was a pleasure to spend time with as we chatted and got to know about Balinese customs and family life, which made this trip truly memorable.

Beautiful oasis in the middle of Ubud. Staff were very helpful. The pool area was wonderful and perfect for cooling down after a day of exploring.

We enjoyed our four nights. Had a canopy room, nicely laid out, but seating in sitting room is a rather low, and uncomfortable. Also there aren’t any bedside tables which i like to have. Beautiful pool and lounges comfy. Pity they don’t bring menu around and take orders— you have to go up to bar to do so. Even for water. The breakfast included is very nice , but not much help yourself there- just juice, small amount fruit, and no yogurt- i asked one day for it.loved the iced coffee! Was a relaxing stay.
